The goal of the Black Moon Family was to destroy Crystal Tokyo in the 30th century, in revenge for being banned to the planet Nemesis. They needed the power of the Rabbit(Chibi-Usa) and came to the past looking for her.

The Ayakashi sisters
The Ayakashi sisters consisted of Petz, Calveras, Beruche, and Cooan. They fought under Rubeus.After being convinced they could start over and live normal lives they got healed by Sailormoon and opened a cosmetic shop.

Rubeus
Rubeus was the first person to try and find the Rabbit in the 20th century. He first appeared in episode 60. He ordered the Ayakashi sisters around but after they left he was alone. He found the Rabbit after she stole the silver crystal and tried to capture her. The senshi shielded her and he kidnapped them. Sailormoon and Chibi-Usa went up into his UFO and defeated him. He died when his UFO blew up.

Esmeraude
Esmeraude took over after Rubeus. She first appears in episode 74. She was very much in love in Prince Demando but he didn't return her feelings. In frustration she goes to the Wiseman. He tells her that she will be queen of the Black Moon and gives her a crown to wear. The crown turns her into a dragon and she is killed by the senshi.

Prince Saffir
Saffir is the younger brother of Demando. He makes most of the droids for the Black Moon Family. He doesn't really trust the Wiseman and tries to see what he is up to. He takes the energy card out of the black crystal and flees to Earth. He is found by the Ayakashi sisters and it is revealed that he used to have a relationship with Petz. He leaves her telling her he haves to warn his brother about Wiseman. Black Lady confronts him, calling him a traitor. Demando arrives but before Saffir can warn him, Wiseman kills him.

Prince Demando
Demando is the prince and head of the Black Moon Family. He wants to take revenge on Earth for banishing them to Nemesis and he wants to fufill his brother's wish of seeing a field of flowers. He has an unhealthy obession with Neo-Queen Serenity but she rejected him. He tries to get her past self, Sailormoon, but she rejects him too. Sailormoon manags to convince him that Wiseman is using him and when Wiseman tries to kill her Demando shields her, dying in the process.

Black Lady
Black Lady was the evil form of Chibi-Usa. The Wiseman convinced her she was unloved and unwanted and she changed into an adult, evil form. She is changed back to normal with Neo-Queen Serenity uses the silver crystal to make her remember the truth.

Wiseman/Death Phantom
The Wiseman was also the Death Phantom. He wanted to open the Dark Gate and destroy Earth. He was destroyed by Neo-Queen Serenity and Small Lady when they used the silver crystals.
