Character Designs

In 1999, Naoko Takeuchi released a book of character sketches called the Materials Collection. Notes for each character were included with the pictures.

Naoko originally planned for each of the girls' eye color to change after she transformed. Her eye color would be her senshi color. (Ex. Mars would have red eyes). Also, the girls would have a certain color mainicure on their fingernails after they transformed.
