1. In episode 104, Chibi-Usa shows the senshi a letter from Neo-Queen Serenity. Minako reads it and says that Neo-Queen Serenity really is Usagi. That's because the letter was written without any kanji. Kanji is a form of writing used by older students. Students Usagi's age should be using kanji by then.

2. Usagi's name means "Rabbit on the Moon." There is a Japanese myth about a rabbit on the moon pounding mochi(rice.) When Luna used to sign into Central Control her password was "The Rabbit on the Moon pounds the mochi." Usagi's least favorite food is carrots and her bedroom is decorated with lots of bunnies.

3. In episode 104, Chibi-Usa meets a little boy who is carrying a Crayon-Shin doll. He acts rude to her and shows her his little "elephant". Crayon-Shin is an actual anime is Japan and the people who voiced the little boy and his mother were seiyuu in the Crayon-Shin anime

4. Naru's mother owns a jewelry store called OSA*P. The editor who worked with Naoko Takeuchi had the name Osapi, and that's where she got the name from.

5. In episode 90, Usagi flunks a test. The test says in English that "Mr. Ikuhara went to Roppongi to flirt. He was very tired after big work. So he applied for comfort to any tender girl.". Mr Ikuhara refers to the series director for Sailormoon, who's last name is Ikuhara

6. In episode 91, Mamoru is wearing a shirt with Earth on it. Chiba Mamoru means guardian/protector of Earth.

7. Many times in the series Usagi says she needs to go get the issue of "Ran-Ran". This was a pun of "Run-Run" a manga magazine in Japan.
