Motoki gave him a knowing smile before replying, "Very." "Shut up!" "Chiba! Hurry up!" The stage manager yelled. "That's your cue Mamoru, good luck." "Thanks, I need it." I walked onto the stage. The auditorium was filled with a lot of people. I almost lost the nerve to go through this . . . Almost. "Good evening everyone! How is everyone tonight?" The crowd cheered in response. "That's good to hear. Anyway, I'm here tonight to sing you a song." More cheering. "Its called 'A Thousand Years' and its dedicated to the love of my life. She knows who she is." I looked down and saw her . . . my angel . . . my light . . . my soon to- The band began playing as I began singing, my gaze never leaving her face. The ring was shaped like a crescent moon and had a diamond in the middle. I heard her gasp in surprise, then she looked at me with those enchanting blue eyes. The crowd fell silent. I saw the answer in her eyes, but she knew I needed to hear it. "Yes! A thousand times, yes!" I somehow managed to slip the ring on her finger, as the crowd cheered me on. I looked at her and began closing the gap between us, kissing her passionately. Even after a thousand years, I still love her . . . I still want her . . .
