"Nowhere to run," Darien said to Serena. "Unable to hide," Serena whispered back. (AN: *giggle* Couldn't help myself!) She looked at Darien and caught his confused look. "There are plenty of places to hide, but we would never make it to them. So we are 'unable to hide.'" He just smiled at her for being so naive. Several of the droids opened the doors and forced Serena, who was still holding Rini, and Darien out of the car. One of them grabbed Serena by her arm and another tried to force her to let go of Rini. She protested and held her young charge tighter. Two of them grabbed Darien's arms and hauled him brutally out of the car. While he was almost falling down, he caught a glance of Serena, desperately trying not to let go of Rini. One of the droids prepared to strike her but Rubeus stopped it. "Let her be. She won't let go of the Rabbit. We don't need to worry, they'll both be dead soon." Serena pulled out of the droid's grasp as Darien did the same. She rushed to him and he closed his arms protectively around the two. Serena couldn't cry; she wouldn't give Rubeus the satisfaction of seeing her cry. Rini, however, didn't have the same discipline as Serena (AN: Hey! She does have it when she tries! That's just not often.) and began to cry into Serena's shirt. Serena held the girl tighter and tried to comfort her. Darien looked up at the two generals who were watching the scene with amused expressions on their faces. He growled deep in his throat at the two. "What do you want," he asked, his voice as cold as either girl had ever heard. Except for one other time for Serena. He used that tone of voice in front of Queen Beryl when she had asked him to join her side on the Moon Kingdom. She shivered at the memory of what happened that day. Emerald laughed, "What else? We want those two girls. If you step aside you will not be harmed, if you don't...then God have mercy." Darien held Serena tighter. "I'll never let you touch either of them. I'll fight until my last breath. I swear that I will rip both your hearts out before I let you touch them." Rubeus made a motion with his hand and several lackeys came and grabbed both Serena and Darien from behind. After managing to separate them they proceeded to attempt to bind the older two. Serena screamed as they pried Rini out of her arms. "NO!!!!! Give her back. Please," she began to beg. "Don't hurt her. She's just a child." Tears began to fall from Serena's face as she continued to beg Emerald and Rubeus to let Rini go. Darien joined in after a moment, "Take me instead. Just leave the girls alone. I'll go with you." Emerald and Rubeus exchanged a look. "Why," Emerald asked, "would we be interested in a normal human like you?" "Darien, don't," Serena begged him. "I have to, Serena." He looked at her tear filled eyes and didn't blink. "I have to protect you." In a flash of colors and bright lights Darien was no longer standing there, and neither were the droids. The power of Tuxedo Mask's transformation disintegrated them. Serena looked over at Tux and decided to do the same. "MOON CRYSTAL POWER!" The magic from her transformation caused the two droids who were holding her to be destroyed. Sailor Moon and Tuxedo Mask stepped forward to their adversaries. Rini saw them transform and wiggled out of the droid who was holding her grasp and ran to her two friends. "You see, Emerald. I told you that if she was in danger, Tuxedo Mask would be with her." Rubeus gloated in her face some more about being right and her being wrong. "So what," Emerald asked. "And it was my plan that captured her." "Oh shut up, Rubeus! We caught her and that's all that counts. Don't forget that we have to kill Tuxedo Mask though." The three good guys gave a start. "I thought you wanted me," Sailor Moon said. Rubeus looked at her and laughed. "We do! We just need to get rid of that," he pointed to Tux, "annoying disturbance. Droids, attack!" All of the droids surrounded Moon and Mask. The two began to fight with Rini in between them. Sailor Moon used her scepter while Mask used her cane and roses to knock them back and in a few cases, destroy them. "What," Emerald laughed, "no communicator this time Moon-brat?" Serena gritted her teeth as she remembered where her communicator was. At Amy's. Luna had taken it there early in the morning to get it repaired. Sailor Moon and Tuxedo Mask's energy began to fade as they fought on. Mask noticed that when he hit the jewel on the droid it disappeared automatically. He used his roses and continued to do that. More kept coming. Seeing that the two couldn't take it much longer, Rubeus decided he'd had enough of the game. He sent a stream of dark power at the trio and watched, as they didn't notice. Sailor Moon used her scepter again and something caught her eye. Dark energy, heading straight towards them. She let out a gasp and grabbed Tuxedo Mask and Rini. Sailor Moon pulled them down and shielded the two with her body. Tuxedo Mask realized what was going on a second too late as the explosion slammed into Serena's back. She let out a scream, much the same as Mask's. She collapsed as the energy that hit her body began to effect her. "SAILOR MOON!" Tuxedo Mask and Rini yelled. "No," Mask said as he caught her in his arms. She groaned softly and her eyes fluttered open. "Darien, Rini, you OK?" As she said it her body became aware of the pain Rubeus had inflicted on her. She let out another groan of pain. Darien gripped her hand tight. "We're OK, Serena," he told her quietly. "Why, Serena," Rini began. "Why did you do that?" Looking up Serena saw tears coming out of Rini's eyes. Swallowing hard she lifted her hand to Rini's cheek. "Because, I love you both. You're my friends, Rini. *Nobody* is aloud to hurt my friends." The droids had stopped attacking as had Emerald and Rubeus. All of them were watching the display before them, amused. "May have hit her too hard, Rubeus," Emerald said with a laugh. Rubeus gave a wicked grin, "Crying shame." Serena began to loose hold of reality. Darien grasped her hand tighter. "Don't you dare leave me, Serena! I don't-I can't live without you." "I promise I won't die. Even if I will in the future. I won't now. I have to...help protect Rini." Her hand didn't go fully limp, telling Tuxedo Mask that she was only unconscious. "Rini," he hissed even colder than earlier, "stay here. If someone comes close let me know. I'll be over there." 'Killing Rubeus,' he added to himself. Rini nodded, slightly afraid of the emotion in his voice. She moved closer to Serena and held her hand. 'You know don't you Serena? You remember what Rubeus said about you not being in the future. I'm sorry you had to live with that knowledge. This is all my fault!' Rini turned her attention to the battle that was about to take place between Rubeus and Tuxedo Mask. "You want help," Emerald asked Rubeus. "I don't need your help. He's mine." Tuxedo Mask stepped up to Rubeus and growled in his throat. "YOU," he hissed. "You nearly killed the woman I love!" Rubeus just laughed. "I guess that proves it. You are Endymion, aren't you?" Tux didn't answer. He merely prepared to avenge what had just happened to his love. "I guess so. Well Endymion, ready to die?" "For her, anything." Rubeus charged at Mask, as he released a dozen of his deadly roses in Rubeus' direction. ******************************************************************* The sounds of fighting came to Serena's ears. She looked up and saw Rini kneeling beside her not watching her, but something else. Serena sat up slowly. Checking herself over she noticed that she was hurt pretty bad. 'Nothing a good rest and the Silver Crystal won't heal.' She looked at what was intriguing Rini, and gasped. Darien and Rubeus were locked in hand-to-hand combat. And from the looks of things Darien wasn't doing very well. There was blood running down the side of his head and his tuxedo was ripped on the arms. He had a bruise on his left cheek and his eye was puffy. She watched as Rubeus knocked him down. Sailor Moon looked around for her scepter. Seeing it in Emeralds' hand she only had two other weapons that she could use to fight. One of those would kill her. She decided not to use her crystal. Rini gasped as she watched Tuxedo Mask fall to the ground and then she heard a voice behind her. She turned around and saw Sailor Moon begin to stand. Before Rini could protest, she had taken her Moon Tiara off her head. When the Tiara was off Rini looked at Serena's face and felt like fainting. On Serena's forehead was a golden, shining crescent moon. A thousand memories triggered inside of Rini's mind. Her memories no longer betrayed her. She had always denied in her mind that Serena was her mother. She thought at first that she might have been, until she found out that Serena was Sailor Moon. Somehow, she always knew. The pieces fell into place and she knew who both her parents were. The locket. Mina earlier, and the name, 'Princess,' The song from the other night. Herself thinking, 'She's so much like Mommy.' The talk with Sailor Pluto the night before. '...they will always love each other. Sailor Moon must fulfil her destiny...' All of the clues that she had been given came into crystal clear understanding. 'Why didn't I notice it before? Serena, Sailor Moon, Neo-Queen Serenity. Mommy,' Rini thought. A smile lit up her face as more of the puzzle came together. 'Darien, Tuxedo Mask, King Endymion. Daddy,' her mind whispered. She watched as Moon threw the Tiara shouting, "Moon Tiara Magic!" Rubeus was cut on the cheek, and it distracted him enough for Mask to get away. Sailor Moon once again collapsed to the ground. Rubeus shouted instructions that Rini couldn't hear, but she knew what they were. The droids swarmed forward and surrounded Moon and Mask; who was now holding her up. Serena and Darien looked at each other; their eyes said everything. They saw the incoming forces and Darien could take it no longer. He leaned forward and pressed his lips to hers in a passionate kiss. Serena responded, and began to kiss him back, just as passionately. The kiss deepening with each passing moment. The forces were coming, and neither of them cared. They were just happy that they were together, even if only for a moment. They were torn away from each other when the army reached them. As the lackeys dragged the two away from each other Darien yelled the only thing he could think, the only thing he knew for certain in his life, "I LOVE YOU!" Serena responded with the only thing that her lips would let her say, the one thing she had know since she had first seen him, one thousand years ago, "I LOVE YOU!" Another lackey came up and grabbed Rini. She didn't resist; she wanted to be with her Mommy and Daddy. The three were brought to Rubeus and Emerald; as the two were about to take them up help, finally, arrived. "JUPITER THUNDER CLAPS ZAP!" "VENUS LOVE CHAIN ENCIRCLE!" The attacks of Jupiter and Venus crashed into the backs of the droids that held Tuxedo Mask and Rini. The two of them dropped to the ground. "Take Serenity," Rubeus yelled to the droids. "Fall back! We've got what we came for." The droids started to disappear into the UFO. Rini screamed as he said those words. Her emotional outburst created a blinding bright light; too bright for anybody to even look at. Not Serena. Serena looked directly at the light that was causing the droids to yield. It didn't hurt her eyes as it did everyone else's. She saw the thing that was creating the energy and power. Her eyes went wide before closing as the light died down. A crescent moon shown on Rini's forehead. The jigsaw puzzle that was Rini finally had the last piece put in it. 'Of course, Sailor Moon's not in the future. I must be the queen if Rini is a princess like that woman said. Oh Rini, I'm so sorry.' Serena gave a small smile as she slid into painless unconsciousness. Mars saw as the droid that held her now unconscious best friend began to disappear. "OH NO YOU DON'T!" "MARS CELESTIAL FIRE SURROUND!" The rings of fire leapt forward and missed their intended target. The droid holding her friend disappeared followed shortly by the UFO. "NOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!" Darien screamed as he watched his life, his love, fly into the clouds. His outburst startled the girls, except for Rini. She knew what had happened. He had finally admitted that he still loved her. And now he lost her, again. They watched as he bent his head down and tears once again fell from his eyes. All of them stood in shock for a moment longer, none more shocked than Darien and Rini. They all were crying now and no one was trying to deny it. Mars swallowed the lump in her throat and she and the other girls walked up to Darien and Rini, whose crescent moon had once again disappeared with out notice. Amy bent down and picked Rini up. The small child clung tightly to the blue-suited Scout. Mina picked up Luna and Artemis and was comforting the two of them. Raye and Lita looked at each other. None of the girls had ever seen Darien cry. They knew that they had made him cry the other day, but this was completely different. They were watching it. Raye bent down in front of him and touched his shoulder. He had stopped sobbing, but the tears were still falling. Darien jerked away from her and startled her. Lita touched Raye's arm and shook her head, clearly saying to her friend 'Let him be.' All of them stood there for a few minuets, absorbing the shock of their best friend being kidnapped. Artemis spoke up from Mina's arms, "We should go," he told them slowly. "We need to plan." The others slowly nodded and dried their eyes. Raye walked up to Darien and touched his shoulder again. He didn't shrug her off this time. He just looked at her. Seeing his face, she felt herself give way. They both loved her and now she was gone. "We should go," Raye whispered. Darien didn't move. He just stared at the space that the UFO had occupied. Lita and Raye picked him up under the arms and pulled him to his feet. The two began to pull him away. Darien didn't resist; he was too in shock. Then something golden caught his eye in the last place Serena had been. He ripped himself from their grasp and ran to it. Darien bent down and picked up the object. It was their locket. 'She must have dropped it, when they were taking her up. Serena, why did you do that? I'm supposed to protect you. You're not supposed to protect me.' The girls saw what he had in his hand, and looked down. Something big had happened between the two of them, and they knew it. "Darien," Luna said. "We need to go, the police are coming." He nodded and walked up to the girls. "Right. Lets go." Rini climbed down from Amy's arms and into Darien's. As the cops began to come closer the warriors ran to their traditional meeting place. ******************************************************************* Serena, not Sailor Moon, awoke slowly and groggily. She sat up and looked around and took in her surroundings. It was her room. 'My room?! What am I doing in my room?' She got up and walked around in disbelief. Something was missing, out of place. She walked to her dresser and noticed what it was that was wrong. The picture of her and Darien was gone. A voice interrupted her search. "Do you like it? I've been watching you and know what you like." Serena whirled around and came face to face with a man. He was Okay looking with white hair and a white uniform. 'He looks nice enough,' Serena thought to herself. Then she looked at his forehead, and took a step back. On his forehead was the mark of the Dark Moon. "Who are you? Where am I?" she hissed at him. The man just looked at her and smiled. He moved closer to her and she took another step back. He lunged forward suddenly and grabbed her arms. "LET ME GO!" Serena screamed at him as she struggled to get out of his vice-like grip. "Don't resist, it's futile." He shook her harshly as she continued to struggle. "My name is Prince Diamond. You are in a Dark Moon spacecraft. I hope you like this duplicate of your room. I made it exactly like the one on earth." He took her chin into his hand and leaned forward. "And you, my dear, are mine." Serena gasped as he leaned forward more and tried to close the gap between their lips. "I don't think so, pal," she hissed. Bringing her leg up, she swiftly kneed him in the groin. He staggered back, and fell to his knees. Gritting his teeth against the pain he stood up and grabbed her wrists. "You will be mine! You will submit to me." Serena pulled out of his grasp and backed away. "My heart belongs to another. The man I always have and always will love is Endymion." She looked at him straight in the eye and narrowed her eyes. "And, if you EVER touch me again, I will not be so nice." He looked at her and then took another step forward. Being that she was in her 'room' she knew where everything was, including her Swiss Army Knife. Quickly reaching into her nightstand she pulled it out. Waving it at him she glared with all the hatred she could muster. 'Thank God! He didn't think to get rid of the things I can use as weapons!' He smiled at her and laughed. Serena held her position and barely flinched. "I'll leave you alone, my dear. One of my servants will attend you later. Hopefully by that time you will have excepted your fate. You will stay here the rest of your life." "LEAVE. Don't come back." He did as she said and left her alone. Serena ran to the door only to find it was locked. She sighed and had to laugh at herself. "Sure! They'll leave the door unlocked and put a key under the doormat! Serena, you really are a Meatball Head." Sitting down on the bed she thought about what had happened. 'How long have I been unconscious? 'A day? A week?' She looked at her watch to find out she hadn't been out for more than one hour. 'But those injury's should have kept me out for days.' Serena then looked over herself, only to discover that her injuries were fully healed. 'Did the Crystal...' Remembering about crystals she put her hand to her chest and found the Silver Crystal where it's suppose to be, in the locket attached to her outfit. 'Well however I was healed, I'm still alive. I can still protect Rini.' Rini... "I don't believe it." The scene of Rini screaming replayed in Serena's mind and she could still feel the power. Still see the golden energy. 'We look alike, we act alike, we even sound alike. Why didn't I see it before? Did she know or did she just find out? *Does* she know? That dream, what does it mean? If I have a child that means I have a husband. I wouldn't marry anyone but Darien. Prince Diamond said I was in outer space how did I get here? Ohhh, too many questions, my head hurts.' She fell asleep, knowing she should be afraid, but wasn't. 'Darien, Rini, Sailor Scouts. I hope you guys are all right. Please, know that I am fine, sort of. I love you all.' ******************************************************************* The Scouts and Darien, who had de-transformed, arrived at the temple fifteen minuets after Serena disappeared. They would have been there earlier, but each was slowly realizing what had happened. Reality had sunk in for all of them by the time they reached Raye's house. Serena was missing. They hadn't protected her. No one knew where she was. All of the problems that they had been having in the past weeks were insignificant to the guilt and sorrow all of them were feeling now. The six of them plus the two cats walked solemnly up the steps of the temple. The only sound being made was the slow, mournful sound of Serena and Darien's locket. When they got inside, Raye told them that they could stay here and plan as long as they wanted; Grandpa and Chad were gone until Wednesday. Raye led her friends to the Fire Room. The group sat in silence for a while, until Darien spoke up. "It's all my fault," he whispered hoarsely. The others looked up at him in surprise. They could see that this was tearing him apart. Mina spoke up and tried to reassure him, "No it's not, Darien. You were there before any of us. You did your best." "No Mina, you're wrong. I wasn't there for her. I couldn't save her." Darien looked down, avoiding the girl's eyes. Raye looked at him and spoke harshly, not gentle as Mina had, "No. It's my fault. I'm supposed to be the physic of the group. Look at what me not paying attention to my feelings has caused. I may loose my best friend." They sat in silence for a moment. Rini cleared her throat, "It's no ones fault," she told them tearfully. "She would have done this for a complete stranger. This is Serena, Sailor Moon, Prin-Princess Serenity we're talking about." She noticed the shocked looks on their faces and had to smile. "Yeah, I know who Serenity is and what she can do. I've seen it, in the future." The last statement was more of a whisper to herself then to the others. Darien looked up in shock. 'Last night she said Serena would die before Crystal Tokyo was formed, and now she says she's seen her power in the future.' He turned to Rini and began to question her, "Rini, I," he inhaled deeply not knowing what her reaction would be to him telling her that he had heard the conversation with Sailor Pluto last night. "I heard you talking to someone last night, Rini." Rini looked up at him with eyes full of fear. "Before I returned the locket to Serena, I heard you talking to your Luna-P ball." The others looked at him and had the exact same question in their eyes 'HUH?' Rini knew now that she probably would have to come clean with all of her friends. She hugged her ball tighter to her body and looked at him. 'I'm sorry for scaring you, Daddy. I didn't know who Mommy was. Please forgive me.' She thought those words but knew she could never say them. "How much did you hear?" was what came out instead. "The entire conversation. I had been watching over you and Serena because of what happened earlier. I didn't want to take a chance. I heard what you said, about Sailor Moon dying before Crystal Tokyo. How can Serenity be in the future if she is dead?" Rini didn't know how to answer. She stayed still and looked away from her friends. "It's all my fault," was the only thing she could say. Darien took her by the shoulders. "Rini, we need to know the truth. Who are you? Where do you come from? Who is our real enemy?" Rini just started to cry. She cried for a few minuets until she was finally able to regain control of herself. "I'm sorry, Dad- Darien. But I can't tell you anything." "WHY NOT?!" Darien yelled, making her cry again. "Jeez, Darien," Mina said as she started to comfort Rini. "This kids been through a lot today. Have a heart, and don't get mad, OK!" "I'm sorry, Pumpkin," he told Rini. "It's just, I'm worried about Serena, and now she finally understands..." he trailed off. "It's OK. I know you're worried." She giggled slightly. "Serena's right though, you do have really bad timing, you know that Darien?" she asked, referring to what he had told her at the battle site. "What do you mean," Raye asked Rini. "Something big happened, didn't it?" "Yes, but..." she looked over at Darien and decided she'd better not. His face was full of pain and sorrow. No, not now. "We should wait until we get Serena back. I can explain it better then." The others nodded in agreement and confusion. "What are we going to do," Amy asked as she closed her computer. "I mean, I've done a complete scan of the entire world for the Silver Crystal. I just can't seem to find it." The group sat in silence for a few minuets, until a voice interrupted their thoughts. "That is because the Princess is not on Earth, Sailor Mercury. She is in space." The five warriors jerked their heads up and turned towards the door. Standing there was a woman in her twenties with long green hair and red-ish eyes. What startled the group was her attire. She was wearing a Sailor Fuku. "Who are you?" Raye asked angrily. "Puu," Rini whispered hoarsely. The woman turned to Rini and bent down. "Hello, Small Lady. Are you OK?" Darien quickly put the pieces together in his head and gave a small smile. "Sailor Pluto?" he asked. Sailor Pluto smiled at him as she stood up, and bowed. "Prince Endymion. It has been many years since I have seen you, Prince. I am very sorry about Serenity." Darien looked down, and then up again. "Thanks, Pluto." He realized what she had said and continued, "What do you mean, 'not on earth'?" Sailor Pluto looked at him and sighed, "She has been taken captive by the Dark Moon. She is awaiting transport to the future." All the girls began to jump into the conversation asking questions. Pluto held up a hand and silenced them. "She is high in orbit around the earth." "Is there any way to reach her?" Darien asked frantically. 'Oh, God. Serena...' "Yes, there is." She turned around and waved her hand, creating a hologram of the Dark Moon spacecraft. "She is here. This ship is in orbit, and it is almost impenetrable." She smiled slightly and turned back to them. "But, there is a way in." "How?" Artemis asked. "They have strong defenses for outside attacks and weapons. But there is no shield to prevent magic from entering." Amy caught on to what Pluto was saying. "I see, so you are saying that we can teleport to where she is and bring her back safely." "Well, yes and no." "It's one or the other, Sailor Pluto," Raye grumbled in her throat. "The shield is still strong," Pluto began, looking into the eyes of her fellow warriors. "It would take all our power to get one person there and back." She clutched her staff tight as she continued, "We can send only one person to the ship, and it will take at least four of us to do so." Immediately all the people in the room stood up and volunteered to go. In moments they were fighting over who should go. "I should," yelled Raye. "She's my best friend and I can sense evil before in approaches!" "No way, Raye," Lita retaliated. "I'm stronger than you and owe Serena a lot. I'm going." "I want to go. Serena would still be here if I had stayed with her today, instead of going to the soup kitchen," Mina told her friends. "I have a computer which can lock on her and alert me to enemies. I should be the one to go," Amy half-whispered half-yelled. The girls argued for a few minuets, until Darien interrupted. "None of you are going," he whispered. The four looked up at him in surprise and became even more surprised as he continued. "I have a bond with her and it is my job to protect her. I will go and no one else." He had his 'Don't-even-*think*-of-arguing-with- me' voice and no one protested. Darien was glad that none of them protested. He didn't like to fight with the girls. And without Serena here, he was technically the highest ranking and could order them if need be. Darien looked over to Sailor Pluto and she nodded her approval. "I was hoping you would volunteer. She needs you now." She motioned to the others. "I will need all of you to transform now." The girls nodded and did so. When the Sailor Scouts and Darien finished their transformation Sailor Pluto began to give them instructions. "Endymion, please stand here," she said motioning to a spot in the middle of the room. "Sailor Scouts, form a circle around the Prince." The four did as they were told and formed the circle. "Now hold hands and concentrate on the Princess." The four joined hands and concentrated all of their energy. A glowing light of the four different planets lit up the room. "MERCURY STAR POWER!" "MARS STAR POWER!" "VENUS STAR POWER!" "JUPITER STAR POWER!" The energy of the warriors merged into one around Darien. He looked at them and smiled, silently thanking them. "SAILOR TELEPORT!" they called out. In a brilliant flash of lights and colors, Darien was gone. ******************************************************************* Serena rolled over in her bed as the last wisps of her dream vanished into her memory. It wasn't a nightmare about Darien leaving her, or her own death. It was a glance into her future. Of the little girl that she and Darien would raise. "I can't believe it," she muttered to herself. "Rini is mine *and* Darien's daughter. How could I not have seen it?" 'Why do I feel so tired?' she wondered. She sat up and stretched only to find the face of Prince Diamond looking at her intently. Serena gasped and remembered what had happened. "You will never see them again, Serenity," Diamond told her coldly. "You should just forget about them. You are mine, and mine alone." Serena got off the bed and stood as far away from him as possible, nearly collapsing as she stood up. She was weaker then she had been after any time she had her energy drained. But, putting everything into her body, she did stand and managed to stay there. "I will never forget Rini and Darien. I love them." She glared at him in defiance as she continued. "True love can't be taken away. Not by you, not by anyone. I will never love you," she hissed the last statement with venom in her voice. Another suddenly appeared behind Diamond. Serena gasped as he materialized. 'He's pure evil,' she thought while she began to shake. She could feel evil radiating from him. 'The only other person who was that evil was...Beryl!' "You see, Prince," the cloaked figure said with an icy tone that made Serena cringe. "Even the Dark Energy did not change her. She is loyal only to Endymion and their child! We should destroy her now! Before he realizes where she is and attempts a rescue." Serena gasped and stepped back, tripping over her night table as she did. She fell to the ground with a cry. Diamond saw this and rushed to help her up. He picked her up by her waist and held her. "Get your hands off of me, you son of a bitch!" Serena yelled as she used all the strength she could and pulled away, backing into a wall. Diamond looked slightly hurt, but then turned to the other. "I think we should wait a little longer, Wiseman. She will come to her senses soon. Just you see." "Don't count on that!" yelled a new voice. ******************************************************************* Tuxedo Mask watched as his friends disappeared through the mix of colors. 'I hope I'm not too late.' When he arrived on the ship, he felt only one thing. EVIL. It was all around him. Darien gave a small shiver as he closed his eyes and concentrated on his love. He found her, and she was terrified. "Hold on Serena!" Darien ran through tunnels and twisted corridors as he followed the link he and Serena shared. He was more then three quarters of the way there when there was a shimmer of light in front of him. Tuxedo Mask slowed to a stop and growled at Rubeus, who has just appeared in front of him. "Well, well, Cape Boy!" Rubeus snarled. "Small universe after all." "I'm not in the mood for this today, Rubeus." "TOO BAD!!!" Rubeus yelled as he released dark energy spheres at Mask. Darien saw what was happening and dodged, easily. He released his roses and Rubeus, too, managed to dodge. Darien saw Rubeus falter slightly and took that opportunity to ram him into the wall behind him. Rubeus gave a small choke, but recovered and slammed Darien on the back with his fists. Darien staggered back a few steps and gave Rubeus the stamina he needed to take advantage of the battle. He released some of his dark power on Mask who, again, barely dodged it. Staggering back up, Darien was thrown back by a powerful blast of energy from Rubeus. He struggled to get up, but couldn't. "Don't feel so hopeful now, do you, Cape Boy?" Rubeus laughed in his face. Darien reached into his coat and pulled out one of his deadly roses. 'One shot at this,' he thought. Rubeus came closer and was preparing to finish the job. "I find it hard to believe that you command such awesome power in the future. You couldn't even defeat me." 'Just a little closer...' he thought. Rubeus continued his speech as he drew nearer and nearer to the fallen warrior. "Wiseman was right about one thing though, killing you in the past is much easier than the future. Besides, if I kill Rini's future father, than I kill Rini!" "Father?" Darien asked in disbelief. "You didn't know?" Rubeus began laughing at the stunned hero. "Yes Endymion, she is yours and Neo-Queen Serenity's daughter. But that doesn't matter now. You are going to die, and so will she." Darien growled deep in his throat and pulled the rose out. With a quick flick of the wrist the red rose was sent speeding into Rubeus' heart. Darien sat up and glared at Rubeus, who was laying on the ground with his hand over the spot the rose had hit him. A puddle of blood lay on the ground by him. "You gave out too much information and you let your guard down. Have fun in Hell, Rubeus." Darien finished his last statement as Rubeus vanished without a cry into nothingness. Darien looked at the space Rubeus had just occupied and let out a small sigh of relief. His mind then went back into full warrior mode as began to run back to Serena. He stopped outside of a closed door. 'I'm here. That's where Serena is.' Darien didn't think twice, he opened the door and saw a man floating with a black cloak around him. Another man with white hair and a white suit was looking at something. Darien focused on that 'Something'. 'SERENA!' his mind screamed. He went further into the room and could hear the end of a conversation. "She will come to her senses soon. Just you see," the white haired one said. Realizing that he was talking about Serena, Darien stepped forward. "Don't count on that!" he yelled. The three figures in the room looked at him in surprise, Serena was the most surprised of them all. "DARIEN!" The two ran in-between the other people in the room. Darien quickly gathered Serena in his arms and turned to start running to the place he had first come from. "Get your hands off of her!" Diamond yelled. "She is MINE!" Darien began to prepare himself for battle when there was another shimmer of light. "Sailor Pluto?" Darien questioned, puzzled. Pluto did not answer, she merely looked hard at Diamond and spoke clearly and steadily, "She does not love you." Raising her staff, Pluto transported the couple and herself off the ship and back to the temple gates. When she was satisfied that the two were OK, Pluto began to disappear. "Wait!" Darien called. "Yes, Prince?" "Who are Rini's parents?" Pluto smiled widely at the two. "I believe that you two already know that answer. By the way," she turned back to the two. "Those dreams that you were having will be explained tonight in your dreams. Until we meet again." She bowed low to her Prince and Princess and left. Darien set Serena down so she could stand on her own. She looked down for a moment then up at him. Darien took his hand and placed it on her face, almost as if he were afraid she wasn't real. Serena touched his hand that was on her face and let her fingers curl around it. Darien pulled her close and kissed her gently. Darien pulled away and put his arms around her waist. Serena put hers around his neck and the two stared into each other's eyes for a few minuets. "Serena," Darien whispered, putting his lips to her ear. "I'm sorry. Please forgive me." Puzzled, Serena looked up at him. "What for, you were only protecting me. I don't blame you." Darien pulled her in closer. "Serena." "Darien." There were no more words or thought for the next few minuets as the two kissed. After a moment Darien deepened the kiss. Following that was a brilliant flash of light. Serena and Darien were no longer there. Instead Princess Serenity and Prince Endymion stood holding each other in the pale moonlight. ******************************************************************* Luna and Artemis were pacing back and forth in the Fire Room of the temple. "He's been gone too long!" Luna exclaimed. "We never should have let him go alone. We never should have let him go! He is the Prince, how could I have been so stupid?!" Rini, who had been staring at the moon since Darien had left, spoke up, "Do you really think you could have stopped him, Luna?" The others looked up at her, startled. Rini ignored their glances and kept talking. "He loves her so much. He only just today was able to tell her again." Tears began to fall from her eyes as she looked over at her friends. "Why didn't anyone tell me that Darien and Serena were Serenity and Endymion? If I had known..." She stopped short as a burst of light caught her eye. The others saw it too. They stood up and rushed the front of the temple. Standing there, oblivious to the world, was Serenity and Endymion. The girls gave happy little screeches and started to run to their prince and princess. Rini, however, got a head start. "MOMMY!!!! DADDY!!!!" The two lovers broke away from each other and bent down so that they could catch Rini in their arms. She flung herself into their arms and she began to cry. The two continued to hold Rini as she sobbed quietly into her future mothers' shoulder. "Mommy, Daddy, I was so worried." Serenity pulled the girl tighter to her. "Its OK, Rini. We'll be fine." "Shhh. Don't worry, Honey," Endymion whispered as he pulled both of them closer to him. "OH. MY. GOD." was what came out of the four girls and two cats' mouths. Rini had unintentionally shifted into her Princess dress, showing her crescent moon on her forehead. Proving to the others that she was, indeed, Serena and Darien's daughter. "OH GOD!" Raye yelled. "THIS MEANS THAT THERE ARE TWO SERENA'S!" To be continued... See?! Didn't I promise you no cliffhanger?! Ha! Well if sucked I'm sorry. I had writers block. *Sigh*. Oh, well. Later minna-chan!
