Author: Sailor Pluto Chapter Six: A Night Under the Stars Rating for this chapter: PG-13 (for mild adult content) ~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~ A Friday afternoon. The Crown Game Center. Nephlyte sat silently at the token desk, tuning out the constant chatter, beeping and chirping of the customers playing the video games. He felt completely at peace, despite the commotion around him. He would be off of work in a half-hour, and then he would have to get some sleep before tonight. He had to clean up at the Observatory as usual, but tonight was special. Tonight, he would take Molly to work with him, just as he had promised. Darien was nice enough to loan him the car since Darien had his motorcycle to take him where he needed to go. Nephlyte promised to refuel the gas tank. Nephlyte's peace was interupted by a familiar, kind voice. "How's it going, Nephlyte?," said Andrew, walking in for his shift. "Tired yet?" "Oh, hi Andrew," Nephlyte replied. "No, not really, but I have to take a nap as soon as I get home." "That's right, you've got that lab clean-up tonight." "Not only that, but I promised Molly I'd show her the view from the observation deck. "Really? Cool. What a nice idea. Hope you have a good time." "Thanks, Andrew." "Hey, before I forget...there's an open apartment in the complex I live in. The landlord is asking for $650 a month, but he's a family friend. Maybe I can talk him down a bit. If you are interested, I could take you there to meet him next week." "Hey, that would be great! Thanks again Andrew." "No problem." They chatted for a little while longer, until Nephlyte had to leave. "So, what time are you picking up Molly tonight?," Andrew asked. "About 11:30, that way I can get most of my work done and she can sleep a bit," Nephlyte said. "Great, have fun," Andrew waved from behind the counter. "I will, thanks," Nephlyte waved back as he walked out the door. ~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~ 11:30 pm. Friday night. In front of Molly's apartment. Molly came out with a big bundle in her arms. Nephlyte popped the trunk so Molly could put the stuff in. Nephlyte stepped out of the car to help her. They packed two pillows, a few blankets, and a special picnic dinner that Molly made for them. Once the bundle was out of her arms, Nephlyte caught the first glimpse of Molly's outfit. She wore a black spandex tank top, that was actually kind of tight. It pinched and showed her curves elegantly, and was accented with a heart formed in red glitter. Her legs were bare with a pair of blue jean shorts that came to mid-thigh. Nephlyte stared at her long, perfectly-framed figure. "What?," she said, innocently. Nephlyte came out of his trance and began to get sweaty palms again. His insides started to tickle, and he could feel his body heat rising. "Nothing...uh, wow, you look great!," Nephlyte studdered. "What are you talking about?! With this simple thing?!," Molly protested. "Shh," Nephlyte shushed her. "I'm not lying. I really do like it...it's... it's just a whole other side of you." Molly blushed and tried to let the compliment sink in. "B...but, are you sure you won't freeze?!," Nephlyte warned. "I'll be alright, we brought enough blankets," she answered, though she really had something else on her mind. So did Nephlyte. The two of them entered the car. "Do you want to pick the tunes?," Nephlyte said, getting into the driver's seat. "Sure thanks," Molly said, turning on the radio as Nephlyte turned the key to ignition. Molly flipped around several times until she heard a light, dreamy sounding guitar chord. "Oh, I love this song," she said, turning up the volume. "What is it?," Nephlyte asked. "It's anew song from America. It's called "Breathe" and it's by Faith Hill," she answered. *I can feel the magic floating in the air* being with you gets me that way I watch the sunlight dance across your face; and I've *never been this swept away* "It's nice," Nephlyte said, "Yeah, it's one of my favorites," Molly replied. *All my thoughts just seem to set along the breeze* as I'm lying wrapped up in your arms The whole world just fades away, the only thing I hear is the beating of your heart. Cause I can feel you breathe, washing over me, and suddenly I'm melting into you There's nothing left to prove, baby all we need is just to be... caught up in the touch, a slow and steady rush baby isn't that the way that love's supposed to be? I can feel you breathe...just breathe In a way, I know my heart is waking up as all the walls come tumbling down closer than I've ever felt before, and I know and you know there's no need for words right now Cause I can feel you breathe, washing over me, and suddenly I'm melting into you There's nothing left to prove, baby all we need is just to be... caught up in the touch, a slow and steady rush, baby isn't that the way that love's supposed to be? *I can feel you breathe...just breathe* "So, did you get enough sleep?," Nephlyte asked. "Um, well, actually I didn't get any sleep," Molly confessed. "What?!," Nephlyte exclaimed. "Are you crazy?! Why not?!" "Well, I was really excited to see you, I couldn't fall asleep," Molly explained. Nephlyte just smiled. He knew she was probably taking hours selecting a perfect outfit, showering with a peach scented body wash (he could smell it), and making up her face and hair. *Caught up in the touch, a slow and steady rush, baby isn't that the way that love's supposed to be? I can feel you breathe...just breathe I can feel the magic floating in the air *being with you gets me that way...* Finally, they pulled up to the parking lot at the Observatory. The two gathered their supplies and took the elevator to the observation deck, the floor just below the top floor. They set their things down outside along a concrete wall the extended to form a huge dome that housed the huge telescope inside. Molly froze stiff as she saw the Tokyo city skyline. Her jaw dropped as she stared into a sea of lit-up buildings. "Oh, Nephlyte...it's breath taking!," Molly gasped. "And this is only one part of it. Before dawn, we'll have to move to the other side of the building to face east. The sun will rise over the ocean at about 6:30 am," Nephlyte explained. "It sounds wonderful," Molly answered. "So I got most of my work done before I came to get you. All I really need to do is sweep and mop the floors, and just replace anything if we use it. What would you like to see first?" "Um, I think that big telescope." They left their things outside and took the elevator to the telescope chamber. Nephlyte showed Molly close-ups of certain stars and planets. In between activities, Nephlyte swept and mopped. The two of them looked up stars and comets on the computers, and even looked at close up pictures of the Moon. Nephlyte felt a strange, cold, empty feeling as he stared at the barren surface of the Moon and its craters. "I never knew learning about the stars could be so much fun," Molly said. "Well, it's sure different from an ordinary school lesson, Molly," Nephlyte pointed out. "I'm glad you like it here." "Shall we go eat?," Molly suggested. "Sure, I'd like to see what you have cooked up," Nephlyte replied. The two came back to their things and Molly began to unpack the food. Nephlyte laid out one of the blankets flat for them to sit on. They snacked on shrimp, dumplings, and rice, sharing casual conversation all the while. "The food was great Molly," Nephlyte complimented. "Thanks," Molly replied, as she began putting things away. "What time is it, Nephlyte?" "It's about 2:30. Why?," he asked. "Because it's getting late. Maybe we should move our things over to the east end of the building now. Y'know, just in case one of us falls asleep," she answered. They moved their blankets and pillows over to the other end of the observation deck. As they walked, Molly looked up at a ceiling of millions of stars, perfectly visible through a clear sky. She gasped, staring into the tiny illuminations, feelinglittle chills crawl up and down her spine. Nephlyte walked a few steps behind her. A mild breeze blew in, tossing Molly's strands of reddish-brown hair. Nephlyte wished he had a camera to capture this perfect moment: this beautiful creature, slender and pale, with her back turned, standing under a setting of stars as the silvery white light of the full moon poured down on her captivating figure, the wind silently caressing her tresses. "Is this good enough?," Molly asked, stopping at a place that had a perfect view of the ocean. "Couldn't have found a better spot myself," Nephlyte answered as he began setting up the blankets. As soon as they were all layed out, Nephlyte layed himself down across one of them. Molly followed suit and they two of them gazed up at the sky. After a few long moments, Nephlyte became conscious of Molly's breathing. They were short and deep, almost like gasps. He turned to see Molly shivering. "Molly, are you okay?," Nephlyte panicked. "You were right, I should have brought something warmer, because it's freezing up here," she answered between chatters. And that was it! At that moment, nephlyte could take it no longer. As if on cue, Nephlyte whispered, "I'll keep you warm Molly," then he rolled over and kissed her madly on the lips. Molly let out a small squeal that was swiftly silenced. Without detaching his mouth from Molly's, Nephlyte sat up setting Molly on his lap, and cradled her body. He pressed harder on her lips until they were forced open. Adrenaline pumped throughout Molly's body as Nephlyte massaged her lips with his own. Her blood began to boil, and her body heat began to rise. She fell into pure bliss and relaxed as he ran his hands up and down her bare arms. Finally Nephlyte broke away to see Molly's reaction, and all he could see was a pair of emerald green eyes filled with intense desire. Her mouth trembled, wanting more. He felt his own desire rising inside of him, and felt the same tickling sensation he felt when he first saw Molly's outfit for the evening. Molly couldn't take the suspense any more. She forced Nephlyte's body into her embrace as she kissed him back with all of her new found energy. Nephlyte found his arms exploring Molly's back and shoulders. Molly ran her fingers through his hair, all the way to the ends, much longer than hers. She continued deeper and deeper into the as she felt him slowly lower them both back down to the blanket. He was placed on top of her until he realized he might crush her fragile body. He rolled over, placing Molly on top of him. Molly began feeling the muscles of his neck and upper chest area. Still lip locked, Nephlyte could only breathe heavily through his nose. His deep breathing put Molly in a trance. She freed his mouth and completely relaxed against his body. Nephlyte continued to plant kisses around Molly's forehead, until he let her rest her head on his chest. *Caught up in the touch, a slow and steady rush* baby isn't that the way that love's supposed to be? *I can feel you breathe...just breathe* Nephlyte stroked her head as she lay there. He looked up again at the stars, and he swore he could see some stars shining brighter than before, as if they were smiling at him. Nephlyte recounted in his head, "The stars know everything..." Without disturbing Molly, he carefully reached for the pillows and blanket. He put hte pillows in place and pulled the blanket over the both of them. "Feel better?," he whispered. "Mm, hmm," she murmured, obviously in complete bliss. Nephlyte planted one last kiss on Molly's head before they both drifted off into sleep. ~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~ Molly awoke to the chatter of songbirds. She looked out towards the oceanto see a bright pink light glowing against a lavender background. She immediately roused Nephlyte from his peaceful slumber. "Wow! What a beautiful face to wake up to," Nephlyte mumbled. "Come on, wake up," Molly said. "It's starting!" "Aww, Molly, I've seen it already. Let me go back to sl..." Molly shut him up by kissing him hard. Nephlyte got a quick surge of energy. "Okay, I'm awake!," Nephlyte exclaimed. "I knew that would help," she replied. With that, Nephlyte placed his arms around the front of Molly's waist, and they sat up looking out towards the east. Within minutes, they could see a large bright peach orb rising into the atmosphere, pouring pink and orange streams over the horizon. *I can feel the magic floating in the air* *being with you gets me that way* ~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~ Special thanks to: -God, for giving me the talent and the tools to write -Eridanus for all her great advice and support -Everyone who has ever read any of my works -Anyone who has ever written, read, or given feedback to a fanfic _________________________________________________________________________ Get Your Private, Free E-mail from MSN Hotmail at http://www.hotmail.com.
