Chapter 3: "Going to Boston" Serena's POV: I felt as if Darien was going to kiss me when we were in that pool, I actually wouldn't have minded either. He has always been so mean to me, but today was different. He change somehow. He probably felt sorry for me or something. I hope not. Well, when we walked back to our rooms I felt a strong connection growing between us, kinda like it was fate for Darien to come on this trip with us. When I got in my room Mina was still sleeping, of course. I walked to my bed and started to write in my diary. I guess I should tell you what I wrote in it. I am too lazy to write it over, so I will just ripe it out and let you read it. Here it is. Dear Diary, First day of the trip to America. Today on the plane was an awful storm, but I felt safe in Darien's arms, even though I left bruises. When we went swimming, I felt as if I loved him. Do I? I think that if I don't love him now, I will soon. I really like him. I wonder if he is always this nice, or is he just being nice so he can have a good trip. I really don't know. Well, it is already 3:15am. Gotta go to bed. Goodnight Darien. *~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~ Darien's POV Wow! That was the best time I have ever had on a trip. I think that I love Serena. I want to talk to Andrew about this, he would know what to do. Wait, Andrew. Serena loves him. She must, she always flirts with him at the arcade. He better not lay a hand on my Serena. Anyway when I came to my room tonight, I wanted to run to Serena and take her in my arms and let her have her first kiss, with me. I felt that I should have while we talked in the pool, but I was unsure of her feelings. I walked into my room thinking about tomorrow, would she tell all the girls about our talk? If she did, I wouldn't mind. Raye would though, I know she still likes me, but I have no interest in her, only her friendship. Wow, I have been talking to you for 20 minutes. Gotta go to bed so I can wake up and see Serena. *~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~ The Next Day: Everyone woke up at 6:30 am, which means that Serena and Darien only got about 3 hours of sleep. Serena had huge bags under her eyes which she covered up with some of her makeup, 'Can't have Darien see that,' she thought. As they all got ready, they decided that they would have some time to do some shopping in LA before they had to leave. Of course they all wanted to go to seperate stores, Amy the book store, Raye the Magic store, Lita the cooking store, and Mina the makeup store. They all left Serena and Darien alone, which they didn't mind. They decided to get some lunch so they could talk. When they sat down at "Taco John's" They both said in unison, "I have something I need to tell you..." "Ladies first" Darien said politly. "Umm, okay. Well here goes, Last night was probably the best time I've ever spent with a man before. I was just wondered if you felt the same way as me." "Serena, you read my mind. I wanted to kiss you last night, but I didn't know if you felt the same for me." "Well, I know that you can kiss me now," she said. He leaned in and rubbed his lips against her soft cheek and planted his lips to hers. The kiss was a passionate one. Serena turned to jello as he slid his tongue into her welcoming mouth. Neither one backed out of the kiss, until Serena remembered about Raye. "Darien, I don't think we should tell the others about us until we get home. Raye could hurt you or something." Serena said worried. "If that is what you wish my love." He replied. "Maybe we should even argue, you know. So they don't get suspisous," "Good plan. We better go meet up with them now or we're going to be late for our flight." *~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~ Meeting Back: Serena and Darien walked together and Darien picked a fight with her. "Hey Meatball Head, don't you ever get full? You ate like a pig at Taco Johns!" "Shut up, It seems to me, that you were quite pigish as well!" 'Oh, this hurts me so inside. I hope she knows this is just part of my plan to trick the girls.' Darien thought. "Alright you two, let's get to the airport so we don't miss our flight," Mina said trying to break up the fight. They walked to the streets of LA waiting for a cab. When they finally got one, they all hopped in. Amy in the front and the others in the back. (Serena and Darien sat next to each other and held hands secretly). When they arrived at the airport, Lita walked to the desk clerk and asked for their tickets. It turned out, that Serena and Darien were seperated by 14 rows. Both of them were hurt inside. They planned on meeting in the bathroom an hour into the flight. They boarded the plane, when Mina stopped Serena, "Serena, I know something happened between you and Darien last night, what was it?" "Nothing, we just talked a while. He really isn't such a rotten guy, not saying that I like him or anything (keeping up her act) I just don't hate him as much," Serena replied nervously. 'I hope she bought that one,' She thought. "Oh okay, I thought that you guys were acting differently." They walked to their seats as Serena gave a small smile to Darien as she continued to walk away for 14 more rows. *~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~ When Serena finally got to her seat, she saw a blue haired girl reading her book in silence. "Amy! I thought I had to sit alone this flight! I'm so glad you will be here with me!" Serena said as she took her seat next to Amy. "Well, I don't know if I will be much company, I have gotten lost in this book about physics." "Oh, then I won't keep you busy with my blabbing. Enjoy your book," Serena said with a sad look of loneliness in her eyes. 'I can't wait for the moment Darien walks to the bathroom so I can talk to him.' She thought. After waiting for what seemed like days, Darien got up from his seat and walked past Serena, giving her a wink. She knew what he ment. She leaned over to Amy, who was still in her book, "Amy, I'll be back soon, call of nature." She walked up from her seat. Knocking on the door to the right, it opens as Darien hushes her inside. Once inside she locks the door. "Did anyone see you come?" Darien asks. "No, Amy just thinks I had to go to the bathroom. So, I can't stay long," Serena replies sadly. They stand in silence just looking at each other. Darien pulls Serena closer to him, resting his head on hers. She pulls away, and kisses him. Shocked at this, Darien soon hugs his girl as they kiss passionatly for a few minutes. When they finally break loose, they both gasp for air. "Darien, I hate to leave. I wish I could stay in this bathroom for ever with you, but I must go to my seat or Amy will get worried." "I understand. Goodbye my love. I will follow slowly after you. See you when we get to Boston," he says after kissing her one last time before she walks out the door leaving him alone in his thoughts. "Oh Serena, I wish I could keep you in my arms forever, but I don't want to hurt Raye, so our love will have to be put on hold, but only for now," he says. Before leaving the empty bathroom back to his seat, he scribbles a note to his love on a piece of paper. When he reaches Serena's seat, he notices that Amy has her nose in a book and drops the note in his love's lap as he smiles his drop dead smile to her. Serena excitedly opens the note, trying not to let Amy see it. She reads it and smiles 'My Serena, I know it seems strange, but after one wonderful day, I know I love you. Please be my girlfriend. Your beloved, Darien Shields.' *~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~ Boston,Massachusetts (7:30pm): They exit the plane and all decide to go to the hotel and get some rest before going out to have dinner. When they get to the hotel, there are 5 rooms. All the girls take one, forgetting about Darien. Serena tells him that he can order a cott and stay in her room. Everyone is shocked by this until Mina tells them about her talk with Serena. They all go to their rooms to put their things away and get changed for dinner. When Serena and Darien get to their room, the second he shuts the door, Serena runs up to hug Darien. "Oh Darien, of course I will be your girlfriend. How could I not?" Darien happy and surprised at this tells her to get ready for dinner as he says he has to go get something. He runs out the door to the lobby asking the clerk a question that he hopes will please his love. *~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~ Serena runs to the bathroom to take a shower before dinner. When she is finished, she puts her hair up to it's normal meatball style. She puts on an skirt that isn't to dressy (she wasn't expecting to fall in love on the trip, so she didn't pack anything too special). It is a pink skirt going down to her knees, with red and white flowers on the ends. It comes up to a spaghetti strap white shirt. She waits patiently for Darien to come back so he can get ready and they can leave. When Darien walks in he has his hands behind his back. Serena gives him a look of confusion. He walks toward her and hands her a bouquet of red and pink roses and a toy ring from the acarde machine in the hotel lobby. He slips it on her finger. "Sorry I can't get you a real ring, I didn't have the time to search for one." "Darien, I love this one. I wouldn't change it for anything!" she says wrapping her arms around his neck. He hugs her back, putting his arms around her waist, glad that she likes his present. They let go of the hug when they hear a knock on the door. Serena walks to answer it, Lita is there. "Are you guys almost done? We better go soon. Darien you have 20 minutes to get ready. Hurry!!" she says storming off back to her room down the hall. Darien shuts the door, kisses Serena's nose and rushes to the bathroom. When he steps out, he is wearing a black tuxedo with a pink rose over his heart. Serena gasps at how handsome he looks. "Sir, you look absolutly ravishing tonight!" "And you madam, look like an angel from heaven." They walk out the door and see the girls waiting for them in the lobby. All the girls are dressed in skirts (according to their colors) Lita ...green, Amy...blue, Raye...red, and Mina...orange. When they all chat a bit about where to go, they decide to go to a fancy restaurant called "Romance at Midnight". They walk in, "Shields for six" Darien says to the hostess. "Oh yes, your table is right this way. Please follow me." When they reached their table they all sat in this order Lita, Mina and Darien on one side and Raye, Amy and Serena on the other. Serena and Darien decided it would be best for them to be as far as possible at dinner, so they didn't get suspisous. After dinner they all went back to their rooms, falling asleep fast, except Serena and Darien. They stayed up most of the night talking and kissing. When they finally decided to go to bed, they called the front desk to order a cott. When they had found out that they were all used up, they had to sleep in the same bed, which they didn't mind. They cuddled as Darien sleep with his arms around Serena the whole night. When Serena woke up, she sat and watched Darien sleep for almost an hour until he woke up. They got up, and got ready for the adventures that they would do that day, their first day in Boston.
