Chapter 1: "Leaving Home"
"When do we leave?" Serena asked impatiently. 
"We won't be able to leave until we find another member. We 
need to have six people on our trip to America. That is what 
the guide told us." Amy replied. 
"Who should we invite?" Lita asked. 
"Hey, how about Andrew?" Mina asked. 
"No, he can't come with us, remember he has that new Pre-med 
class that he just signed up for. It will take up the whole 
week." Amy reminded the group. 
"Hey, I know. Why don't we invite Darien? He will probably 
be able to come." Raye suggested. 
"No way! I can't stand him let alone go to another country 
for a week with him. No way. It's not going to happen!" 
Serena yelled. 
"Well, then I guess we won't be going to America." Mina said 
trying to change Serena's mind. 
"If he does come, you can just ignore him the whole time. 
You can just talk to one of us." Amy said. 
"Sure, why not. If he teases me though, you guys can talk to 
him, 'cause I am not even going to look at him!" Serena 
said.

"So Darien, do you think you can come?" Raye asked. 
"Sure. I guess I could. Is Serena coming too?" Darien asked 
hoping that she had detention or something. 
"Yeah, but you guys don't have to talk if you don't want 
to." Raye said. 'You can just flirt with me,' she thought 
(Raye still has a crush on Darien even though he broke up 
with her a month ago).
"Well, I'll go. When do we leave?"
"Tomorrow at noon."

Serena's Room:
Serena's POV (point of view)
"I can't wait until tomorrow. I gotta pack my blue dress, 
my pink skirt, my white blouse...." Serena said while 
packing her bags for the trip to America. 'I just hope that 
spore Darien won't have to sit next to me on the plane. I 
mean, more than ten hours next to THAT!' she thought. 
"Serena I want you to come home safe and sound. Please be 
careful on your trip." Luna added as she made a worried look 
on your kitty face. 
"Don't worry Luna. With all the Sailor Scouts with me I 
should be fine!" Serena could barely get to sleep she was so 
excited. 'Tomorrow at this time I will be in Boston!' she 
thought with a smile on her face. She fell fast asleep 
forgetting that Darien would be accompanying her on the 
trip.

Darien's Apartment:
Darien's POV
"This trip should be pretty fun, except the fact that I have 
to spend time with Meatball head. Well, I'll try to make the 
best of this trip, maybe I'll get to know someone from 
America. That would be cool. I better finish 
packing so I can get up in time to go." Darien said as he 
packed his bag. It was a small bag compared to the bag 
Serena was bringing. When he finished packing he climbed 
into bed thinking of some good insults to say to his 
nemesis.

Boarding the Plane to America:
The girls and Darien met at Serena's house the next morning. 
Darien was planning on driving to the airport in his small 
car. When he realized there would not be enough room for six 
people Serena spoke up, "Hey, I just got my license. We can 
take my van!" Serena said excited. She hadn't driven much, 
so this was a good chance for some practice. So they all 
pilled in the car. Serena in the drivers seat, Amy in the 
passengers seat, and the others in the back. As they were 
driving to the airport they got a flat tire. 
"Well, it's a good thing we are two hours early." Lita said 
as they all piled out of the car. Of course Darien knew how 
to change a tire, so he got out the spare and started to 
change the tire. He got really hot since it was June and 
Serena found herself staring at Darien's body. 'Whoa! What 
am I doing? I don't like Darien in the least,' Serena 
thought 
as she hopped back in the van. Once Darien had changed the 
tire they were off again. When they got to the desk Darien 
asked for six tickets to America. The desk clerk checked out 
the computer and said, "Enjoy your trip on Japan 
Airlines. I am so sorry, but I couldn't get you all seated 
together. I hope that's all right. The whole plane is full."
"Oh, that's fine. Thank you very much. He handed everyone 
their tickets and then they walked to the gate. Serena 
really hated flying. She had flown once before and she 
almost threw up. 'Oh, I hope this trip won't be too bad,' 
she thought. Before they went to the board the plane they 
all took a bathroom break. Of course Serena took the 
longest. The group told her they would meet up with her on 
the plane. Serena, almost missing the flight, boarded the 
plane just in time and looked at her ticket. "15B, okay," 
she said as she looked at the numbers above the many rows of 
seats. She saw her friends a few rows away, but then 
realized they had seat 20. She found her seat and she put 
her things into the overhead compartment. When she looked 
down at her seat a young man looked up. Two groans could be 
heard as they both said in unison, "This is gonna be a long 
flight."
