I think it's a PG Quote of the Week: "I have been driven many times to my knees by the overwhelming conviction that I had nowhere else to go" -Abraham Lincoln FINAL AWAKENINGS CHAPTER 15 ____________Rescue Mission____________ Sailor Mercury gently closed the door after she left the room. The other Sailor Scouts of both times and the Tsukino's were sitting on benches outside of the room she was in. As soon as she was out, several of them jumped up and began to ask frantic questions. Sailor Mercury held up her hand to silence them. "She's asleep, and with the amount of sedatives I gave her, she's going to stay that way. Small Lady is with her and isn't moving either." Sailor Mercury sighed. "I guess we should just leave them. Small Lady's true power hasn't awakened yet and she knows it, and Serena isn't going to move for a while. Neither of them can help us." "Good," Sailor Venus whispered. "Now we can figure out where the took Tuxedo Mask and how to get him back!" Lita and Sailor Jupiter cracked their knuckles. "Who ever did this-" Lita started. "-is going to pay!" Jupiter finished. It would have been hysterically funny had the circumstances been different. Sailor Earth noticed the Tsukino's looking rather put out of the group and she sighed. "Would all of you like rooms? It's very late, and I don't think you're going to find what we're doing interesting." Ilene shook her head. "No, I want to stay with my daughter," she said softly but firmly. "But Sammy is going to bed!" "But-" Sammy started. One look from his parents shut him up. "Come on, Sammy," Venus instructed. "You can have on of the guests rooms just down the hall." Sammy and Sailor Venus walked down the hall to the guests quarters as Mercury let Ilene into Serena's room, where as Kent opted to stay with the Sailor Scouts and help in any way he could. Luna, Artemis and Terren ran off with the Sailor Scouts to help plan for Darien's rescue. "Let's just pray," Luna panted as she jumped on to Amy's shoulder, "that Serena stays where she is." "Right! Artemis agreed. "She's very likely to make an irrational decision at this time." Terren climbed on to Rose's shoulder and watched her face. Tears were streaming down her cheeks and he could almost hear her cursing herself for not being there faster. Purring in to her ear as loudly as he could, Terren did his best to reassure his mistress. Rose didn't look at him, but instead wiped her eyes furiously and continued on. "I'm gonna kill him," she hissed. "That won't do you any good, Rose," Terren pointed out. "Well, I'm gonna kill someone!" she said. Terren jumped off her shoulder and ran a head of her. *********************************************************************** Serena's eyes fluttered open and her vision slowly came into focus as she moaned and turned over. Her eyelids felt heavy, but she forced sleep off as another word came to her mind. 'Darien!' Sitting up quickly, she noticed a small bundle asleep at her side. "Rini..." Throwing her covers off, Serena glanced around the room. "Serena!" her mother exclaimed when she looked up from the book she was reading. Tossing the literature behind, Ilene rushed forward to her daughter. "That sedative Mercury gave you hasn't fully worn off yet, you should go back to bed," she half-pleaded, half-suggested. Serena shook her head and grasped her broach. "MOON CELESTIAL POWER!" "Serena! What are you doing?!" her mother asked in horror. She didn't feel tired any more. 'Must be because of the Silver Crystal. Or my desire to save Darien.' Sailor Moon looked up at her mother with empty, determined eyes. (AN: Have you ever seen how she looks after she saves Hotaru in the S season? Imagine something like that.) Ilene was shocked at what was revealed in her daughters' eyes. "You aren't thinking..." she trailed off. Sailor Moon nodded. "Mother I have to," she whispered. "You don't know what its' like." Tears formed in her eyes as long buried memories surfaced once again. "You don't know what its' like to know that someone is in danger, someone you love, and not be able to do anything, even though you could if you were allowed. To watch people die because of you, FOR you, and not do anything. My best friends, Darien, they've all done that. They risk their lives for me more times then I can count, and I won't let the favor go unnoticed." Ilene's voice shook as she spoke. "And you've risked your life for theirs more times then I can count. Serena," she walked up to her daughter and put her hands on her cheeks and made her daughter look at her, "you can't just rush off blindly and do this on your own. You have to think of Rini! The others are working on a plan..." Sailor Moon shook her head and backed away. "Mom, I know they are, I can feel them. I can feel what they are doing right now, that they are planning, but they can't go there. This is my mission, my job. I gave up so much because I am a Sailor Scout and the Princess than anything else, then anyone else had to, and I am not giving up more!" Tears feel freely from her eyes now, and she didn't stop them. "They've destroyed my life and that of my friends so many times, that it is unforgivable. I will *not* allow something else, someone else, to be destroyed. Not now, not ever. No one can help me with this, I have to go alone. I love him." Ilene stood in shock at her daughter, no, Queen Serenity's daughters' words. "Serena, I had no idea..." she whispered. And she hadn't. Maybe that how it should have been, but now, Ilene understood why she had kept this secret for so long. The pressure, the fear, the pure anxiety that what Sailor Moon, and the other Sailor Scouts, did finally hit home. Sailor Moon hugged her mother. "Thank you," she whispered as she ran to the door. She put her hand on the knob before turning back. Her eyes locked on Rini for a moment and she closed her eyes tightly. "Don't worry, baby. I'll get them for you." The door opened and closed in the blink of an eye and all Ilene Tsukino could do was stare. "Good Lord, please watch over here," she prayed. *********************************************************************** Sailor Moon ran as fast as she could down the halls of the Crystal Palace. She didn't know where she was going, but some how, she was being lead out of the Palace. 'Darien, give me strength! Lead me to you!' She panted hard as she left the Palace and ran into the desolate streets of Crystal Tokyo. The smell of decay nearly overwhelmed her, but she pressed on. In a flash of light, she was gone. *********************************************************************** Amy sighed and rubbed her temples. "This just isn't working!" she yelled as she turned the computer off. "I can't find his life energy anywhere!" Mercury typed more information into her own computer and sighed as beeping emitted from the machine. "Ditto," she agreed. "I wonder if Mars and Raye are doing any better..." she mused to herself. Amy looked up through tired eyes. They hadn't been working long, but it seemed like she hadn't slept in days. "I hope so, but I don't think she will pick up Darien's signature. Not to be a pessimist, but she hasn't been able to sense Endymion yet either. I hope we can find them..." she whispered. *********************************************************************** The two fire soldiers sat across from each other, the Sacred Flame dancing between them. Their eyes were open as they stared directly into the flame while chanting the same prayer over and over again. They had been meditating for an hour and there was still nothing. 'Just like before,' the elder of the two thought with a shudder. The fire flickered on its' own until a great rush of dark power flooded the senses of the two warriors. A vision appeared in the fire of Sailor Moon running out side of the Crystal Palace and vanishing in a column of dark power. "NO!" Mars yelled. "Serena!" Raye called as she stood up. "What is it?" Sailor Venus asked as she stood from her place on the floor near the two girls. Sailor Mars turned and faced her friend with fear in her eyes. "It's the Princess. I think she's gone after the Prince!" With that, the two Sailors of Mars took off running at break-neck speed. Venus swore under her breath and reached for her communicator. "This is Venus, the Pyro's think that Serena's left!" "WE ARE NOT PYRO'S!" Raye and Mars yelled as they ran out of the room. *********************************************************************** Ilene looked up as she heard the door burst open and several Sailor Scouts and her husband dash inside. She stood and faced them, making the bed clearly visible. The Sailors looked at each other and took off again with out a word, except for Sailor Earth who walked to her niece and held her hand. Kent walked up to his wife with anger in his eyes. "Why did you let her get away?" he demanded. Ilene smiled and looked to her granddaughter asleep in the bed. "Because. Until now, I had no idea what they had sacrificed and what she was willing to sacrifice to save him and this planet. This is Serena's mission, this is her coming of age." Sailor Earth gasped and turned around. Looking Ilene in the eye, she nodded. The mission of the Moon Princess and Earth Prince had always been to protect and love each other. This wasn't a Sailor Scout mission. Sailor Earth turned and ran out of the room to find the others. *********************************************************************** The Sailor Scouts were fast approaching the gates that would lead them out side into Crystal Tokyo. 'Gotta make it,' Raye thought as tears threatened her eyes. 'We can't loose them!' As the Gateway loomed in the distance, a familiar voice called out, "HALT!" Turning around, the Sailor Scouts were confronted with the site of Sailor Earth standing behind them. "What do you mean, Rose?" Jupiter asked. "Why should we stop?" Amy asked. "Because," she walked forward and stood in front of them, "this is her mission, her objective. We don't get involved," she told them with a note of finality in her voice. "What?!" the others demanded. "Sailor Earth, as leader of the Sailor Scouts, I say we are going!" Venus told her. "You don't understand. She *has* to do this. It's her own way to prove to herself that she is strong enough. That she can lead the world and the Sailor Scouts. Don't you get it?" The Sailor Scouts looked at each other and then back to the gate. Swallowing hard, Sailor Venus and Mina nodded. They understood. *********************************************************************** Darien groaned and turned his head a little as he slowly woke up. Opening his eyes, Darien found that he still couldn't see. "What the- ah!" he said as he tried to move, but found himself unable to. "I feel like I've been hit by a truck," he muttered to himself as he let his head droop back down. "No offense, but you look like it too. At least when they brought you in, Darien," a raspy voice said with a bit of humor in it. "Who are you? Who's there?" Darien demanded as he moved his arms, but found that they were chained to the wall slightly above him. Forcing his feet to move, Darien placed his weight on his feet and stilled himself. 'I'm still Tuxedo Mask,' he thought as he felt the mask on his face flutter in the dead breeze that was blowing. There was a chuckle from the other man and the shuffling of his feet as he moved slightly. "After the month of hell I put you through, you don't remember my voice?" he asked while laughing. Darien narrowed his eyes. The voice *was* familiar. 'No way...' he thought. "It can't be..." he said out loud. He knew who it was, but that would mean that he had been captured. "Yes. Good to see you again, Tuxedo Mask," King Endymion said with a smile. "I wish the terms were better." "But they're even worse than before," Darien finished dryly. "I know, Roselyn had pretty much just finished telling us when the attack happened. I don't know what happened and oh god! Serena!" he yelled. He turned to where Endymion's voice was coming from and asked him frantically, "Was she brought in here with me? Do they have her?" Endymion shook his head. "If they do, she wasn't brought in with you. I don't know where she is," he murmured. Tuxedo Mask looked away and nodded. "Tuxedo Mask?" Darien looked up at the King. Endymion took a deep breath before continuing. "Small Lady and Serenity, are they alright?" he whispered. Darien didn't look at the monarch as he answered. Sighing he sent a prayer to whom ever would listen that they would be out soon. *********************************************************************** Hotaru stirred her Pepsi (AN: Again, Coke is evil!) solemnly and looked out the window of the Crown Arcade. They were awaiting the return of the other warriors, and it was going to be a while. Amara was trying out the racing game in the center, while Michelle talked with the man working at the counter. 'What's his name again? Andrew?' Hotaru asked herself. She went back to her soda and almost didn't notice when someone sat across from here. She smiled. "Board already, Haru-who are you?" she asked the boy who sat across from her. He looked nice enough, and familiar, with his brown hair and brown eyes. "My name is Greg, and I wanted to know if you know how the other Sailor Scouts are doing in the future, Sailor Saturn?" Hotaru's head shot up and she glared at the young man. Michelle and Amara had heard too, as they walked up to the table, and looked ready to beat him for answers. "What are you talking about?" Amara asked. Greg didn't let his gaze faultier as he answered. "I've known about all of you since this new enemy showed up. Or could it be called an old enemy? It's hard to tell sometimes," he said with a smile. Before they could say anything else, Greg kept talking. "I didn't have a chance to say good bye to Amy and wish her luck before she left, so I wanted to know if you knew if they had made it to the future safely." "Greg, you really shouldn't answer such questions in public," a new voice reprimanded him. The four people looked up and over to the side of the booth to see a woman with long green hair dressed in a business suit. There wasn't a smile on her face really, but she did look happy. "Trista!" Hotaru, Michelle and Amara gasped. "What are you doing here?" Michelle asked. Trista gave her an 'In a minute' look as she addressed Greg's earlier question. "They made it to the future with minimal difficulty, thanks to Saturn, Neptune and Uranus," she said as she gestured towards the three young women who looked completely scandalized that Trista would tell him that they were the Outer Warriors. "But now there is danger to the Princess, and that is why I need to see the Outers." "Wait! Trista, how does he know about the others?" Amara demanded. "Greg had known since Sailor Moon appeared who all of the Sailor Scouts were. Actually, you knew about the others identities before they did, right?" she asked. Greg nodded. "And now he dates Sailor Mercury." Michelle smiled. He had said something about Amy. "What do you need, Sailor Pluto?" she asked. Trista looked at the sky and sighed. "The Prince has been taken hostage and the Princess has gone after him, alone." The people at the table gasped. "This is, in a way, one of the many tests that Serenity must overcome to become Queen. But we need to be sure she will live through it. Queen Serenity had requested that the three of you go and just watch out for her. Make sure she doesn't get killed." The three nodded to each other and stood up. Duty calls. *********************************************************************** Sailor Moon gasped as the teleport completed. She hadn't done it, and didn't know how or why it had happened. Looking around, she found her surroundings to be dark, and as evil as she would have thought. But there was something here that she didn't feel on Earth. Darien. Closing her eyes for a better sense of direction, she concentrated on her love. Finding what she was looking for, she took off running towards him. She was only a few minutes into running when she felt someone watching her. Sailor Moon stopped and turned around. "Who is there?!" she demanded. "Show yourself!" A light chuckle was heard from behind her and Sailor Moon turned again to find a man standing in the shadows. "Well, well, well. I don't believe it. You've actually gotten more beautiful since I last saw you," the man half whispered to her. Sailor Moon took a step back and pulled out her Star Wand. "Who's there?" she demanded once again. Another laugh escaped the mans throat and he stepped closer to the girl. "Don't you remember me, Serenity? I find it very hard to believe you don't," he said as he stepped into the light and smiled at Sailor Moon. Sailor Moon gasped and stepped back. The mans' boots shown in the vague light that the cavern had to offer. His white uniform was starched and pressed, fitting him just right. Even his white hair gleamed in the light. And there was no missing the black, upside down crescent moon on his forehead. "Prince Diamond." Prince Diamond nodded and bowed slightly to the young girl who held her Star Wand closer to her. 'Sapphire said he wasn't alive!' Another evil laugh sounded through the hall and Sailor Moon turned to meet the voice. "I'm sure you weren't expecting to meet him or I here, now where you, Moon Brat?" the voice hissed. Sailor Moon's breathing sped up. Prince Diamonds' voice was hard for her to tell, but this voice, she *knew* this voice. She had nightmares about this person even after so many years. "Originally, Diamond wasn't supposed to come back, but our leader found it necessary." "Beryl," Sailor Moon hissed. "It can't be," she whispered. "You're both dead! All of you were!" she shouted. "Not dead enough, brat," Emeralds voice came from where Diamond was. Sailor Moon whirled to face her. "And now that you're here..." Emerald held up her fan and it began glowing a bright pink color. Aiming her fan at Sailor Moon, Emerald shot at her with energy. Sailor Moon flipped over the blast and extended her leg as she sailed over towards Emerald. With a cry, Sailor Moon side-kicked Emerald in the chest as hard as she could. Emerald staggered a little before responding and attempting to punch Sailor Moon, who easily dodged and did a crescent kick (AN: Really cool move!) to Emeralds head, knocking her back. Emerald stood up and with out hesitation flung more energy at Sailor Moon. Sailor Moon screamed as she was flung backwards. She sat up and groaned. "Owie..." "Emerald!" Diamond snapped. "You aren't supposed to kill her!" Sailor Moon stood up and faced Emerald. "I only came here for one thing, Emerald, but if you insist!" She pulled out the Star Wand and held it at ready. "SILVER MOON STAR ATTACK!" Emerald stood there and threw dark lightning at the white energy that was heading towards her. Sailor Moon gritted her teeth as the energy clashed with her own. She cast a glance at Diamond and Beryl and wasn't surprised to see that neither looked like they were going to help Emerald. 'Figures.' Emerald increased her attack and Sailor Moon began to falter. Prince Diamond nodded his approval at her. "Though I normally wouldn't agree to this, you have gotten stronger, Emerald. Just don't kill her," he commanded. Emerald laughed evilly. 'And if I did, it would just be a horrible accident,' she thought as she put even more energy into her attack. Faltering slightly, Sailor Moon desperately struggled for a plan. One came to her mind, but she sucked in her breath. 'I don't think this will work...what other choice do I have?' Keeping her energy going between the fight, Sailor Moon used her other hand to reach up and grasp her Tiara. 'Please, work.' "MOON TIARA MAGIC!" It worked as best she could have hoped. Emeralds' eyes got wide as the discus came at her from the side and she turned her attention to it, faltering slightly. Sailor Moon's energy wasted no time in hitting her in the chest. Emerald screamed as the energy hit her. When the dust cleared from the battle Beryl and Diamond were in shock to see that Emerald wasn't there any longer, and neither was Sailor Moon. Prince Diamond narrowed his eyes as he gazed at the pile of dust that was once Emerald and where Sailor Moon once was. "She's gotten stronger, much stronger," Beryl mused darkly. "This is not good." Diamond nodded. 'Emerald, you've fought her, you knew that she could do, and you still failed.' Diamond shook his head to clear it. "We need to find where Sailor Moon went. She's still here, she has to be." *********************************************************************** Sailor Moon pressed onward and ran from the scene as fast as she could. She knew that by destroying Emerald, she had lost power and they would no doubt kill her. Well, maybe not anymore with Diamond. 'As if I didn't have enough to worry about,' she thought bitterly. Breathing hard, Sailor Moon concentrated on finding Darien. 'Mother, please help me! Show me the way!' Her Silver Crystal flashed brightly, illuminating the corridor she was in. A beam of light shot out from the silver and gold gem on her locket and seemed to lead the way to her love. Running as fast as she could and destroying many youmas and droids along the way. Panting hard she reached a dark corner of the hall. Several doors with bars were on them were in the hall. Sailor Moon ran down it and began to call out to Darien. "DARIEN! TUXEDO MASK!" She panted and ran further down the hall. "ENDYMION! TUXEDO MASK!! Please! If you can hear me!" She stopped and looked down as a tear came to her eye. "Darien..." "...sailor..." Sailor Moon looked up as she heard a voice call out. "What?" "...moon! Serena!" "DARIEN!" *********************************************************************** The two men stood in silence as they waited for somebody, anybody to come and tell them something. Darien had only been there for a few hours, and couldn't believe that somehow King Endymion had been here for months. (AN: Do you have any idea how hard it was for me to keep track of how long this has been going on in the fic time?) "Did you just hear something?" Endymion asked him. Darien held his head up and held his breath and he heard what Endymion was talking about, but it was very faint. "...mask! Please! If you can hear me!" "Serena..." Darien whispered. "SAILOR MOON! SAILOR MOON!" he yelled as loud as he could with Endymion joining in. "SERENA!!!!" Seconds later, the pounding of footsteps were heard coming closer to the cell they were in. Darien smiled as the footsteps came closer and a voice called out to him. "Darien?!" "In here!" Tuxedo Mask answered as he moved his arms and his shackles clanged. A face popped up in the little window of the cell door. Sailor Moon smiled when she saw the outline of her boyfriend. "Stand back!" "As if we have a choice," Darien mumbled. "Shut up, or you don't get out!" Sailor Moon snapped at him. Darien closed his mouth and Endymion chuckled a little. "MOON TIARA MAGIC!" The door was blown to dust in seconds and Sailor Moon ran inside. Seeing her love chained to the wall, Sailor Moon gasped and ran to him. Putting a hand on his face Serena brushed away the tear that trailed down his cheek. "Darien, oh Gods, I thought I'd lost you." Darien smiled at her and leaned to kiss her when- "I think she went down this way!" Malachite's voice yelled. "That's where Endymion and Tuxedo Mask are!" Prince Diamond yelled. "Endymion?" Sailor Moon whispered as she turned around, and sure enough, King Endymion was chained to the wall similar to the way Tuxedo Mask was. "Thank God, you're both alright. I need to get you out of here..." Studying the chains she saw that they were locked tight with a very large lock to keep them there. "Darien, I need a rose," Sailor Moon said. "Serena, this isn't the time for gifts-oh," he said as he realized what she was talking about. A rose appeared in Darien's hand and Serena took it. Inserting the steel-tip into the lock Sailor Moon proceeded to jimmy the lock. With a click, the lock opened and Darien pulled his arm free. Creating another rose in his hand, he began to start on his own. "Go help Endymion, I'll get this." Sailor Moon nodded and ran towards Endymion. She stopped and her eyes filled with tears when she saw him. He was beaten and bloody. His mask was off his face and the tux he wore was torn in several places. Old bruises shown just as well as the new ones. She undid his chains quickly and Endymion collapsed to the ground. "Endymion!" she gasped as she tried to catch him. Endymion hadn't stood on his own in weeks, and the weight on his legs was strange to him. Sailor Moon held him up with Tuxedo Mask, who had just finished his own chains, and the two helped the weak monarch run out of the room. "By the way," Tuxedo Mask said, "who taught you how to do that?" he asked. "I was wondering the same thing," Endymion muttered. Sailor Moon smiled and gave a little laugh. "Your sister!" Darien and Endymion exchanged looks as they continued on. "Figures," they murmured together. *********************************************************************** Sailor Moon and Tuxedo Mask stopped running and surveyed their surroundings. The three could see several tubes and machines around them, unlike anything they had ever seen before. "What is this?" Sailor Moon asked herself. "It is the place where all of your enemies were resurrected," an ominous voice sounded. "Who are you?" she demanded, the voice not sounding at all familiar. The man chuckled. "No, I don't expect you to remember me. After all, the only time we met was when you were about seventeen hours old!" Sailor Moon gasped as memories that she had been shown began to filter into her brain. Evil eyes, crude voice... 'What ever you do, you must not underestimate King Onyxious. He could destroy this entire world if he liked, but he would rather see you suffer.' "King Onyxious!" she gasped. A man stepped out of the shadows. His brown hair blew in an invisible breeze and his yellow eyes flashed red. He wore all black, complete with a blood red cape. "Hello, Princess Serenity, Prince Endymion, King Endymion." Endymion growled in the back of his throat as he remembered the hell this man had put him through the past two months. "You..." Onyxious narrowed his eyes at Endymion and with out moving, through back both young men with a mere thought. "Tuxedo Mask! Endymion!" Sailor Moon turned to run to them, but was stopped by an unseen force. "Oh no you don't," Onyxious hissed. "You are going to die, and they are going to watch!" "No. I won't die," Sailor Moon whispered. Onyxious smiled at her slightly and walked to the machines. "This is where I 'grew' many of your old friends. I couldn't find Nephlite though, he was too pure for me to reincarnate. I though that of Sapphire too, until I found a way to erase all of the unnecessary memories of theirs." Sailor Moon stood and listened to his explanation. "The two that you met up with earlier weren't supposed to be reborn, but I though that the soul of my Metalia might be inside of that useless body of Beryl's, and Diamond, well, his powers may turn out useful after all. Especially since I erased his memory of the Wise Mans' betrayal, or rather, my betrayal." Sailor Moon's breathing became heavy as she stared into his eyes. She was concentrating so hard on Onyxious, she almost didn't feel the arrival of the other members of the Negaverse and Dark Moon. Looking around, Sailor Moon saw that she was surrounded and gasped. Tuxedo Mask and Endymion stood up beside her and held their breaths. 'This is *not* good,' Endymion thought. "You can't win, Sailor Moon," Zoisite said with a laugh. "Just give up!" Rubeus told her. "If you give up now, I'll see about sparing your life, and making you my Queen," Diamond told her. Sailor Moon's eyes darkened at the thought of giving in to any of them. King Onyxious laughed an evil laugh. "You know you can't win, Serenity. Give up," he told her. Sailor Moon pulled out her Star Wand and Endymion and Tuxedo Mask looked at her incredibly. They knew she was strong, but even with all of the Sailor Scouts, this battle would be next to impossible. The group of evil beings laughed. "You're going to fight?!" Beryl laughed as she came into view. Endymion and Tuxedo Mask did a double take as the red haired freak (AN: *snicker*) came into view. Tuxedo Mask clutched his fists together and clenched his jaw. Memories of what she had made him do while he was under her control flooded back to the young man. Even though he knew it wasn't his fault that still didn't mean that the pain went away. "No, Beryl. I'm not going to fight. I'm not a fool like you who takes on battles that I know I can't win," Sailor Moon answered. Holding the Star Wand in front of the Star on her uniform Sailor Moon called out a new power. "SILVER MOON STAR FLASH!" A bright light erupted inside of the room. The evil ones averted their eyes until it was dark again, but they only saw empty space where the three had once stood. "WHAT?!" Onyxious yelled. Turning to his minions, he growled. "FIND THEM!" "I don't think so," a small, but dark voice said. Everyone in the room turned to face the voice and found three girls in sailor uniforms standing behind them. "Who are you?" Malachite asked. The one with wavy blue hair stepped forward with sea colored power glowing in her hands. "We're here to make sure our Princess gets the Prince and King away. So until they're gone..." "WORLD SHAKING!" "DEEP SUBMERGE!" "SILENCE GLAVE SURPRISE!" *********************************************************************** Sailor Moon and Tuxedo Mask ran out of the Dark Kingdom while helping Endymion. As they arrived outside, all that they could see was a dark and barren wasteland. Sailor Moon winced as the dark energy filled her senses. "Crystal Tokyo is bad, but it isn't this bad!" she said. "You aren't in Crystal Tokyo," Sailor Pluto's voice said. The three turned to see Sailor Pluto standing on a rock with the Time Staff in hand. "It is time to go back. Congratulations, Princess," she said as a light came from her staff and the three vanished. Lowering the rod she looked back towards the towering dark castle. "Guess it's time for them to go home too." Sailor Pluto teleported herself to the battle and found that King Onyxious, Beryl and Rubeus had left, they weren't dead, but had gone to find the three who had escaped. 'We couldn't get that lucky if they were dead,' Pluto thought bitterly. "Saturn, Uranus, Neptune! Time to go!" she told them. The three other Scouts faced Pluto and nodded. Throwing one last attack each, they left through the portal and back to the twentieth century. "See ya, jerks!" Uranus couldn't help but call over her shoulder. *********************************************************************** Amy heard the beeping sound, but didn't acknowledge it. 'Oh, just go away! I just went to sleep!' she thought as she turned her head over and hit a set of buttons that were on the computers' desktop. Looking up, the view on the screen caused tears to come to her eyes. Hitting the button on the side that would activate all of the Sailor Scouts intercoms, she yelled into the speaker. "EVERYONE! THEY'RE BACK!" *********************************************************************** When the light that flashed before their eyes was gone, Sailor Moon, Tuxedo Mask and King Endymion found themselves on the Crystal Palace grounds. "We're back..." Sailor Moon whispered. King Endymion let out his breath at the site of his home. "Small Lady, Serenity..." he whispered. Sailor Moon and Tuxedo Mask exchanged looks and started towards the Palace. "ENDYMION!" "DADDY!" "SERENA!" "DARIEN!" The three stopped and looked in the distance and saw several people running towards them. Ten Sailor Scouts, Ilene, Kent, Sammy and Rini were all running as fast as they could. Sailor Moon waved as they came closer. Rini was up front with tears in her eyes as she saw her father. Sailor Moon and Tuxedo Mask let go of Endymion so he could crouch on the ground. Rini didn't waste a second and threw herself into her fathers' arms. "Daddy!" she cried. "Daddy, I was scared I'd never see you again," she whispered. "Small Lady...Oh God, Small Lady," Endymion whispered as tears trailed down his cheeks. Sailor Earth came shortly after that and kneeled down by her brother with tears in her eyes. "Endy you idiot, I'm going to kill you!" Ilene and Kent ran and embraced their daughter warmly. Rose ran to Darien and hugged him tightly. "Don't think I'm not going to kill you either!" The other Sailor Scouts stood off to the side; awaiting their turn to welcome back their friends. As soon as Serena pulled away from her parents, Raye started in on her. "Just what did you think you were doing, Meatball Head?!" she yelled. Sailor Moon couldn't help but smile. She was only gone for a couple of hours and she had missed these arguments. "At least I think, Raye! Which is more than I can say for you!" "Is that so?!" She stuck her tongue out at Sailor Moon who gladly did the same. The others looked up and sighed. Endymion shook his head. "That's the only thing I didn't miss," he murmured. Casting a glance at his sister he frowned. "Well, that and Rose's pranks." Sailor Earth wiped away her tears and shook her head. "I'm in no mood to argue. Let's just get back inside!" she said. *********************************************************************** Several hours later, the story was finished, the cuts were bandaged, and everyone was caught up in what had been happening the past few months or hours depending on who you were. And the whole Prince Diamond incident had been explained to the Tsukino's because when they had been told the original story, somehow what had happened between Diamond and Serena was *accidentally* forgotten. Needless to say, Kent about blew up. Endymion had seen Serenity and had asked for time alone. The Sailor Scouts and Rini had left to go get something to eat. When Endymion came back, he looked a little better, but the sadness in his eyes was impossible to miss. Serena rested her head on Darien's shoulder as her eyelids began to droop. She yawned. "Do you think we should go back home now? We've found out what we needed to and even helped out a bit." Endymion shifted Rini on his lap and thought for a moment. "When Pluto comes to get you, then you should go home." "And that would be now," Sailor Pluto said as she appeared. Sailor Mars jumped up and whirled around. "Jeez, Pluto! Do you have to so that!?" she asked. The others laughed, including Pluto. Endymion couldn't help it when he started laughing. There hadn't been much to laugh about in the past two months, but now. It felt good. "Yes, actually I do. Keeps all of you lazy soldiers on your toes!" she told them. "HEY!" the eleven protested. Sailor Pluto smiled and created a portal to the Time Gate. The Sailors of the past stood up and faced the ones of the future. "Thank you, for everything," King Endymion said as he set Rini down on the ground. Rini ran forward and wrapped her arms around Sailor Moon and Tuxedo Mask's legs. "I'll miss you guys," she whispered. The two bent down and hugged her. "Hey, don't forget, we're not that far away," Sailor Moon whispered. Tuxedo Mask nodded. "We'll be here for you, Rini." Rini nodded. "But it's not the same..." she whispered while pulling away. "Thank you Grandma, Grandpa, Sammy. I'll miss you," she said as she gave each of them a hug and Sammy a high-five. "Everyone, thank you!" she exclaimed with a smile. Running back to her father, Endymion picked her up so she could face the Soldiers as they left. "Come visit us again, Rini!" Venus called as the soldiers disappeared into the portal. "Bye, Rini!" Terren called. "See ya in the future!" Luna and Artemis said. Before the Tsukino's left, Pluto stopped them. "I hope you've learned exactly what your daughter must live with." The two parents nodded. "We have, Sailor Pluto," Ilene whispered. Pluto smiled and let them pass. Rini held her father tighter as they left and the portal closed. "Small Lady," Endymion addressed her. "Yes?" she asked. He looked down and sighed. "The battle isn't over yet, but if you wish, there is one way for you to go to the past." *********************************************************************** The Sailor Scouts of the past and the Tsukino's appeared at the Temple's front steps. As the cloud vanished, Serena felt tears come to her eyes and they slid down her cheeks. Darien didn't waste any time and wrapped her in a warm embrace while stroking her hair. "We'll see her again," Darien whispered in her hair. "Even if it's not until after we get married, we'll see her again." The others watched as the two cried out their loss. "Wow, I didn't think they would be so broken up about this," Amy whispered. "Yeah," the others agreed. Suddenly, a thunderclap was heard over head and the Sailor Scouts looked up and gasped. Forming in the sky was a large pink cloud. "It can't be..." Mina whispered. Serena and Darien looked up with just enough time to see Rini fall from the cloud and drop in to Serena's arms. Their eyes wide, Serena and Darien hugged Rini for all she was worth. Setting the girl on the ground and began to play twenty questions. "Rini, why are you back?" Serena asked as happy tears trailed down her cheeks. Rini smiled and held up a small golden object. Serena's eyes opened wide as she recognized it. It was the exact same locket she had when she first became Sailor Moon. "Rini?" Rini smiled at her mother as she remembered what had happened just before she came back. *******************************Flashback******************************* Rini looked to her father surprised. "How can I go back, Daddy? You're here now to protect me, and Puu says I really shouldn't go back unless it's important." Endymion nodded. "I know, Small Lady. Please walk with me," he said as the two of them left the Scouts and walked down the hall. They walked down the hall until they reached Serenity and Endymion's chambers. Rini straightened up as she walked in. The room wasn't highly elegant like much of the Palace, but rather informally suited to the Royalty. Several vases of different colored roses filled the room. The cream and dusty rose colored sheets on the bed were made, for they had not been slept in for two months. Several paintings done by Lonnie Lyni, Michelle Kaioh and of course Roseanna Shields decorated the walls and gave life to the room. The cream colored curtains swayed in the gentle breeze and the dusty rose furniture with cream colored pillows gave the room a homey effect. Endymion walked up to one of the paintings and pushed it aside to reveal a safe. Entering the combination into the lock and opening it. Endymion reached inside and pulled out a small round object. "Serenity," Endymion began and addressed his daughter. Reacting to her true name. Rini closed her eyes and appeared as Neo- Princess Serenity before her father. Bowing slightly she faced him, "Yes, father?" Endymion looked at the locket in his hand and sighed. "It took your Mother quite sometime to get her locket down to its' original form. About two years ago, we were debating on whether or not we should begin training you as a soldier. The experience would be more than necessary when you rule as Queen. However, we also don't want to subject you to that. Being a Sailor Scout means giving up a lot. Your free time, sometimes even your friends. There's also the possibility that you may not survive. It's a choice that I think you should make. Serenity," Endymion faced his daughter, "the Sailor Scouts can always use help. Would you like to help them?" Serenity thought about it for a minute. 'I knew that I would have to fight one day, but...' She looked into her fathers' eyes. 'Why not today?' "Father, I would like to go to the twentieth century and train to be a Sailor Scout like my mother before me." Endymion nodded sadly. "I had a feeling you would." He walked up to his daughter and pressed the locket into her hand. "Now come on, let's go say good bye to your mother." Serenity bit her lip and followed her father down the hall. *****************************End Flashback***************************** Serena hugged her daughter. "You make a great Sailor Scout, honey. Now come on! Let's go home," she whispered while detransforming. Rini looked up to her mother and smiled. "Yeah!" Darien slid and arm around Serena's waist and smiled at his daughter. "Well, let's go get some burgers! I'm hungry!" *********************************************************************** Amara, Hotaru and Michelle smiled as they watched the other Sailor Scouts walk in. Greg was sitting at the bar with another group of guys and girls. All of them looked up and called out their names in surprise when they walked in. Serena and the girls rushed over to the others. The Outers watched as the two groups happily reunited. "I guess they all know who they are, huh?" Michelle asked herself. Amara shook her head. "That's not good. The more people who know, the more likely it is to get out." "I don't think that will happen, at least not from their mouths," Hotaru whispered. She smiled at the two women. "Besides, they all seem nice enough." They quieted down as the other group did. Serena's face became serious as she began to talk and everyone began to listen. The Outers suddenly wished they were closer so that they could hear them. *********************************************************************** The girls were welcomed by all of the their boyfriends, the four sisters and Sapphire. Serena smiled politely before speaking what needed to be said, at least to Sapphire. "Guys, listen, this is important," she started. Everyone got quiet and listened to what she had to say. "Sapphire, remember how you thought Diamond wasn't alive?" Sapphire nodded and swallowed. "Well, he is. I saw him, Sapphire." The five ex-Dark Moon officers gasped. "He didn't...hurt you, did he Serena?" Sapphire asked in a panicked voice. Serena shook her head. "No. I got away before he could try his hypnotism thing. I just, wanted to warn you five. You two were really close, Sapphire, so I thought he may come and try to get, if no one else, you to come back." Sapphire nodded. "Don't worry, Princess. I'm not planning on changing sides again." The group stood in silence for a moment before Rini broke it. "Well enough of that! I'm going to start my training as a Sailor Scout soon! Let's party!" To be continued... See?!
