Konnichiwa, natsukashii yomites! (Good day, dear readers!) Wanna know something scary? My Japanese is better than my Spanish, and the Spanish is the one that counts! Eep! I need to study and not write so much! Hmm...nah! :p Again, thanks to all my friends for their support in these past weeks. *sniff* All of you are so nice to me! Domo Arigato! Okay people, this is very important. Lately, I have seen a lot of people ripping off others fics. Just last weekend, I read one that took the plot line from *at least* three different stories that I have read. Even if our fanfiction is not being sold for money, it is still right protected. Meaning, that what we write is our own idea and can not be reproduced in any form. Not only is this illegal, it is just plain wrong. If you have ever done this, then know that we writers work long and hard to create these written works of art and having them stolen is the last thing we want or need. If you ever see someone copying another's work and know that they have, then tell the writer that the idea is being stolen from and have them judge for themselves. (IE: I read one where the person had taken the idea from chapters of a story that had been out for weeks and theirs was just up. That is a good way to tell.) Or tell the website master or mistress. And just so people know, if I find someone doing this to my works, it will not be pretty. Oh yes, almost forgot! Ti'ana-chan and I have posted (or will post soon) the first chapter of our co-written fic on her site. It may possibly be on Lady Spring's site later, but it is not going to be on ASMR for a while. If you would like to read it go here: http://come.to/Tiana Ah yes, and the question of the week is: In the Manga, who gives the Outer Sailor Senshi their power ups in the SuperS series? Just so you know, it's in book three of the SuperS manga. :p Come on! You guys' have got to get it right! MMARY2000! I hope you are reading this and I just want to say that I got your mail and thank you so much! I tried to mail you back, but your addy won't accept mine or some of my friends. If you mail me another addy, I'll respond with what I had originally planned on! Sorry for not writing! DISCLAIMER: I've said it already this week in Truths, and it applies for this story too. RATING: PG- a swear word and an almost swear word. Quote of the Week: Time passes, people move....like a river's flow, it never ends...A childish mind will turn to noble ambition... Young love will become deep affection... the clear water's surface reflects growth... -Sheik/Princess Zelda from Zelda, Ocarina of Time. FINAL AWAKENINGS CHAPTER 14 ____________A Cryptic Future____________ Rini awoke fast, much faster than what was supposed to be humanly possible. She threw the covers off of her body and ran to the window. It was bright and sunny outside with a few white puffy clouds drifting by. It matched her mood perfectly. She turned and ran back to the bed and jumped on it. "Mommy! Mommy! Wake up, Mommy!" A yowl was heard as a small cat went flying across the room and slammed into a wall. Rini grimaced and giggled, "Opps, sorry, Luna." Serena, too, sat up straight. "What's going on?! Is there an attack?!" she shrieked while reaching for her broach. Rini rolled her eyes. "No! I get to go home today," she said with a smile. A mixture of relief and sadness passed through Serena's eyes and she smiled. "But Rini, we don't have to be at the Temple until eleven o'clock and it's only," she turned and looked at the clock, "ten thirty five. Now go back to-TEN THIRTY FIVE?! WE ARE SO LATE!" Serena yelled as she threw the covers off her bed and began running around the room to get dressed. ************************************************************************ Rose could barely keep her breakfast down as she, Darien and Terren walked down tenth street to Serena's house. She had never been this nervous before. The only ones who didn't seem nervous were Darien and Raye. But they always could hide their feelings. Rose cast her eyes downward as she remembered the look on Andrew's face when they had passed by the Crown just minutes ago. He had looked so afraid and worried that Rose was glad Mina hadn't seen him. If she had, she probably would have broken down. Andrew had smiled at them in a last gesture of good luck before turning away to wait on customers. Rose sighed. None of the Sailor Scouts' boyfriends were going to be able to see them off today, only the Tsukino's would. Chad had to keep Grandpa busy and away from the Temple, Andrew was working, Ken had to leave town, and Greg had Saturday cram school and his parents refused to let him skip it. Amy had agreed and said her goodbye to him over the phone. As for Tim...well he didn't even know that Rose was a Sailor Scout, so she just couldn't say goodbye to him. Rose was so lost in her thoughts, that she didn't notice the person who was walking straight towards her. The two bodies collided with each other and they both fell to the floor. Roses' sketchbook that she was carrying, so that she could draw Crystal Tokyo, fell out of her hands and scattered papers everywhere. Rose quickly stood up and began to apologize. "Oh my gosh! I am so, so sorry!" she gushed. Darien held his hand out to the woman on the ground. "Miss? Are you okay?" he asked not noticing the other two people with her. Underneath her head of sea green hair, she smiled. 'I'm perfectly fine now, Prince Endymion.' "Michelle?" one of the women with her asked. "Are you okay?" She brushed away a stranded of her dark purple hair and leaned down. "Michelle?" Michelle smiled and nodded. "Yes, I'm fine, Hotaru. It's just, these drawings. They're so beautiful," she said as she picked one up. A slightly sad smiled crossed her lips as she looked at the paper. 'Serenity. Well, at least she has awakened, though not the way Queen Serenity wanted.' The last member of their group gazed at the paper as Michelle picked it up. "Yes, these are wonderful. Did you draw them?" she asked Rose, who was frantically picking up her papers with Hotaru's help. Rose mumbled something inaudible. The woman smiled and brushed her short blond hair out of her green eyes. "You did? They're great." Rose stood up and smiled. "Thank you very-oh my God!" she exclaimed when she got a good look at who she had bumped into. "Rose!" Darien hissed at her rudeness. Rose's mouth dropped open as she gazed at the people in front of her. They were familiar, but that's not what surprised her. She was standing in front of one of the most famous painters in all of Japan, Michelle Kaioh. "M-M-Michelle Kaioh?" she asked. Michelle smiled and nodded. "Yes. Again, I'm so sorry about running into you. I wasn't looking where I was going, um, Rose is it?" Rose nodded dumbly. "Yes. I'm Roseanna Shields and this is my brother Darien Shields." Darien nodded his greeting to the ladies. Terren meowed at being left out and Rose made a face at him. "And that's my cat, Terry." Michelle smiled. "Well, I'm Michelle Kaioh, this is Amara Tenou," she gestured towards the blond, "and Hotaru Tomoe." A series of 'hellos' and 'pleased to meet yous' commenced before Terren scratched Darien in the leg, the signal that they were late. After shooting a death glare at the cat Darien turned to Rose. "Oh shoot! Rose we have to go!" Rose didn't hear her brother as she was in deep conversation with Michelle about art. Darien sighed and grabbed Rose's arm. "Rose, we're going to miss our train if we don't hurry," he hinted to her. Rose furrowed he brow before opening her eyes wide. "Oh no! Raye's gonna kill us!" She turned back to the three young women and smiled. "I'm so happy to meet all of you. I wish I could stay longer, but I can't so have a good day!" she called as she and Darien ran as fast as they could to the Cherry Hill Temple. Michelle smiled at them. "They truly haven't changed much, have they?" she asked no one unparticular. She gazed at the picture again and shook her head. "Roselyn was always my biggest competitor in art. Much like you and Jupiter in strength, Amara." Hotaru watched the two as the disappeared in the crowd. "It is strange seeing them again. Do you think they'll be alright in the future?" she asked while looking up at her two friends with her deep purple eyes. Amara nodded. "They will be fine. But we should stay with Serenity and Endymion as much as possible until they leave for the future." Michelle nodded her agreement and the three left in the same direction that Rose and Darien had. (***See important end note for my explanation of the Outers!) ************************************************************************ Raye tapped her foot impatiently and huffed. "Where are they?! I can understand Serena and Rini being late, but not Rose and Darien," she seethed. Artemis sighed and sent a silent prayer to who ever was listening to have Luna show up soon. His idea of a good time was not babysitting four noisy teenage girls. "Give them a break, Raye," Lita said as she lounged on the Temple steps. "After all, Serena and Darien were up later than we were because they had to explain to the Tsukino's that they were leaving again. It's natural that they would still be sleeping." At that moment, an old station wagon pulled up at the bottom of the steps and five people and one cat stumbled out and began to run up the stairs. Mina chuckled as she saw Rini happily skipping up the steps with Luna P right behind her. She also noticed the slightly wistful look on Serena's and smiled in sympathy. They hadn't been close when Rini had first come, but now that she was leaving...Mina didn't want to think how hard this was going to hit, not just Serena and Darien, but all of them. "You are late!" Raye started in on Serena as soon as she opened her mouth to apologize. Serena only managed to mumble a sorry and that seemed good enough for Raye who continued to look around the grounds. "Now, if we can only find that sad excuse of a boyfriend of yours, we could be on our way." Ilene looked surprised. "Darien's not here yet?" she asked skeptically. "Darien is here, and it's not Darien's fault!" a masculine voice from behind the group said. Everyone turned to face him and he gestured towards Rose. "Rose just happened to run into one of her idols and talk with her." Before anyone else could say anything, Rose jumped in and began babbling about how she had met Michelle Kaioh. "Enough!" Luna roared, halting the conversation. "Every, transform. The sooner we get to the future, the sooner we answer all of our questions." The girls and boy exchanged looks and nodded. "VENUS COSMIC POWER!" "EARTH COSMIC POWER!" "JUPITER COSMIC POWER!" "MARS COSMIC POWER!" "MERCURY COSMIC POWER!" "MOON CELESTIAL POWER!" In a flash of lights and ribbons, the Sailor Scouts stood with grim determination on their features. Sailor Moon turned to her parents, only to see them hugging Rini and whispering words of encouragement. She smiled and walked over to them. "Come on, Rini. Time to go," she whispered gently. Rini nodded and smiled at her grandparents. "Bye!" she yelled as she turned and ran to her father, wrapping her arms around one of his legs. Sailor Moon smiled at her parents and hugged each of them, including Sammy. "Serena, please be careful," Kent whispered to her. Sailor Moon pulled back. "I always am, Daddy. Don't worry," she pecked his cheek, "the Scouts'll take care of me if need be." After a minute more of good-byes, Serena ran back to her friends and they formed a circle around her. ************************************************************************ King Onyxious watched as his minions, yet again, tried to take the Crystal Palace. He slammed his fist into a wall as they, yet again, failed. "Damn. How can the Sailor Scouts be so strong?" he hissed under his breath. Malachite was floating in the air not too far away and gazed at the king with cold eyes. "They are far stronger in the twentieth century than they were in the tenth. And they are stronger in the thirtieth century than the twentieth. Even with us having Endymion and Serenity having mysteriously disappeared, they won't give up their home." Zoisite appeared next to Malachite, while nursing her newly cracked ribs. All courtesy of King Onyxious and his failed plan. "What's your report, Zoisite?" Onyxious asked with a bored voice. Zoisite slowly lowered herself to the ground and bowed as best she could to her King. "We lost half of our forces and another quarter are injured. We can't keep going on like this," she said. Rubeus appeared behind her and gave his agreement as well. The darkly clad man whirled on her and pointed a finger at her. "Don't give me that! We can full well go on like this. The Sailor Scouts and their precious royalty have been nothing but thorns in our sides for years. And I won't-" A series of beeps interrupted the raging man who turned back to the control panel. Pushing several buttons, he located the disturbance and smiled. "Well, it seems our friends are planning on doing something in the twentieth century." He chuckled evilly. "They just transformed. I think that we should pay them a visit." ************************************************************************ Sailor Moon gripped the Time Key around her neck tightly before pulling it off. Everyone else was in a circle around her, holding hands so as not to get lost. "Guardian of Time...Let the Door of Time split the heavens and open to me...I call you by your true name, the all knowing God of Time and Father of the Guardian, Chronos! Lead me! Protect me! Send me the path of light!" There was a flash of light as the clouds parted and began to shine on the group of heroes. Sailor Moon smiled and concentrated harder on getting to the Fourth Dimension. 'Please work.' "ZOI!" A stream of flower petals raged through the air and just missed Sailor Moon's hand. With a cry, she whipped around to face her enemy. Zoisite lowered herself to the ground and glared at the girl with all the hatred she felt for her. Behind her were at least half a dozen youma with battle hungry looks in their eyes. "Oh no," Sailor Moon whispered. ************************************************************************ Michelle's breath caught in her throat as she watched Sailor Moon use the Time Key. "I hope this works." No sooner had the words left her mouth that a cry of "ZOI!" reached her ears. A woman with long blond hair in a ponytail appeared along with several youmas. "That's Zoisite!" Hotaru said with shock evident in her voice. "Trista warned us about this," Amara said darkly, "so now, how 'bout we warn them," she said while holding a strange pen in her hands. "URANUS PLANET POWER!" "NEPTUNE PLANET POWER!" "SATURN PLANET POWER!" ************************************************************************ Sailor Moon prepared to power down the Time Key and fight until something she didn't expect happened. The youmas launched forward and grabbed the Tsukino's, throwing them into the Sailor Scouts, who put them into the center of the circle. 'They'll probably leave if we do. I can't stop now,' she told herself as she added more power to the Key and all of the Sailor Scouts and the Tsukino's, disappeared. "WHAT?!" Zoisite exclaimed as she watched the Sailor Scouts vanish. "Of all the-argh!" she cried in frustration. "DEEP SUBMERGE!" A blue ball of water smashed into half of the youma and destroyed them. "What?" Zoisite hissed as she turned to the sound of the voice only to find something else. "WORLD SHAKING!" Zoisite ducked and the ball of yellow light disintegrated the remaining youmas. Turning back with her fist clenched up near her face she spoke. "Who's there?!" she demanded. "Show yourse-" A sharp Glave was placed at Zoisite's throat and she shut up. Turning to who was holding the Glave Zoisite's eyes became wide with surprise. She looked no older than thirteen! "Go back to your master, and tell him that none of your filth will harm our Princess and Prince." With that, the Glave was removed and the three young women that, for a moment, could have killed her left. Zoisite stood in shock as their blue, yellow and purple skirts faded into the distance. ************************************************************************ The Sailor Scouts and the Tsukino's landed softly in the ever so cheerful Fourth Dimension. As they landed, Sailor Mars started in on Sailor Moon. "What were you thinking, Meatball Head?!" she demanded. "We needed to stay and fight! Zoisite could be having a grand ol' time out there and we would be on our way to-" "Shut up, Mars!" Sailor Moon yelled startling everyone. "Listen, I know I should have stayed and fought, but I bet that Zoisite is already gone because she knows where we're going! The enemy can't waste even a single youma in the twentieth century with us on our way to the thirtieth!" Mars lowered her eyes and nodded. "Sorry, Serena," the priestess muttered under her breath. Sailor Moon smiled and turned back to the situation at hand, trying to find their way in all this fog. She then remembered that her parents were there and turned to them quickly. "Mom, Dad, Sammy, I think you should stay with us. Zoisite may have seen you." The three looked surprised and did a double take. "You want us to go with all of you?" Ilene asked. "To the future?" Kent questioned. Serena nodded and smiled. "Alright!" Sammy exclaimed. "This is going to be so cool!" "If only I could agree with you," a familiar voice sounded through the cavern. The Sailor Scouts, knowing the voice, turned to it and went down on one knee before Queen Serenity. Tuxedo Mask, too, showed his respect by bowing low to the Fairy Queen. Ilene gasped when she saw the woman. She was very small because of her spirit form, but she was beautiful. "Are you...?" she whispered. Queen Serenity smiled and nodded. "Yes. I am Queen Serenity." "I can definitely see the family resemblance," Kent mumbled as he looked between Serenity, Sailor Moon and Rini. "Why do you were your hair in meatballs?" Sammy blurted out with out thinking. "SAMUEL!" Ilene snapped. The Queen laughed. "It's quiet alright, Ilene. This is the royal hair style, that is why Serenity and I both were it." She saw her daughters' guards still patiently bowing and sighed. "All of you know better. You may rise." The six complied and Sailor Earth rubbed her knee. "Thanks! My legs were going numb!" A round of light laughter echoed across the emptiness, but soon ended. "Mother, what are you doing here?" Sailor Moon asked. She bit her lip as she realized what she had just done. Casting a glance at her other mother, she saw the slight pain that was in her eyes, but also the understanding. Sailor Moon smiled and silently thanked her. Queen Serenity looked over her shoulder towards the Time Gate. "Sailor Pluto is under strict orders to not leave the Time Gate. With Onyxious," her voice darkened at the name, "traveling through time, there is a chance that they may try to capture the Gate of Time, which is an easy way to time travel. I am here to lead you to the gate so you don't get lost." Sailor Moon nodded her agreement and soon, she and the others were following the Queen to the Time Gate. To be continued... JUST KIDDING! The real one's worse than that! ^_~ A short while later, the Sailor Scouts made it to the Time Gate and Queen Serenity turned to her daughter. "This is as far as I may go. Sailor Pluto will give you instructions from here on out." The Sailor Scouts and the Tsukino's coursed their thanks and bowed to the Queen who rolled her eyes at them playfully. "Thank you, Mother," Sailor Moon said with a smile as the group continued on. "Wait, Serenity!" she called after her daughter. Sailor Moon and the others turned around and faced her. "What ever you do, you must not underestimate King Onyxious. He could destroy this entire world if he liked, but he would rather see you suffer. Be careful." With those words said, the Queen vanished from the Fourth Dimension. Sailor Moon fought down the lump in her throat and turned back to where the Door was, only to jump in the air. "Jeez, Pluto!" she heaved. "Don't do that!" Sailor Pluto didn't smiled as she stood up from her kneeling position. Her dark eyes held the wisdom of countless centuries and even in the pale light of the Fourth Dimension Sailor Moon could clearly make out recent battle scars. "I am glad you could make it here on such short notice, Prince, Princess," she greeted. "Why didn't you answer my daughters summons, Sailor Pluto?" Sailor Moon asked with regal determination in her voice. "I know she called you every night, and you not once, answered her." 'Well, at least she got right to the point.' Sailor Pluto looked away from the Princess' eyes and sighed sadly. She had been busy, what with training the other Outers, helping the war in the future and still guarding the Gate of Time, but the only excuse she could offer was that she didn't want to tell the young girl the truth about what had been happening in Crystal Tokyo. She kneeled down so that she was looking into Rini's eyes and put a hand on her shoulder. "Small Lady, there has been so much going on, many of the events I wish I could keep from you. Please understand." Rini nodded, not quiet understanding, but knowing she would soon. Sailor Pluto turned to Sailor Moon who nodded her understanding also. Tuxedo Mask took Sailor Moon's hand as Pluto turned to the Gate. "I'm sure most of you know how difficult it is to travel through time. You must be very careful, never let go of each other," she instructed. The Sailor Scouts grabbed each other's hands and the Tsukino's followed their example. As the Door opened, Sailor Moon gave her daughter's hand a squeeze and turned to Pluto. "How bad is it?" she whispered. Sailor Pluto looked down, and avoided the gaze of the others. "I wish... I wish you never had to see this type of destruction again." ************************************************************************ The journey had been hard, especially on the Tsukino's, who weren't as strong as the Sailor Scouts so they had more difficulty. But there were there, finally. Rini ran forward as soon as she saw the door to Crystal Tokyo and grabbed the handles. The Sailor Scouts were right behind her as she opened the doors and walked into a stunning white crystal room. "Thank God, we're not outside," Sailor Moon breathed. The others continued to stare in shock at the vastness of the hall before turning to Rini. "Rini, where is everyone?" Sailor Mercury asked. Rini bit her lip and shrugged. "I don't know. Maybe they didn't know that we were coming," she whispered. "HALT! Don't move!" a sudden voice came from near the shadows of the other side of the room. The others quickly became quiet as the figure stalked closer. "State your name for the record or the tombstone, it's your choice." The Sailor Scouts hesitated and shot glances at each other. The voice was so...similar, but different too. 'record or tombstone?' Rini thought. A smile dawned on her face and she ran forward despite the cries of 'Wait, Rini!' "Auntie Rose!" she squealed as she jumped on to the other and hugged her. A strangled cry came from the other person who took a deep breath. "Small Lady?" she whispered. "Oh my-You're back!" She hugged the small child so hard that she thought they were both going to run out of air. The others in the room stepped forward, and sure enough, there was a woman who could have been Sailor Earth's twin on the ground. Actually, she was Sailor Earth. Sailor Moon smiled at the two as they reunited. (AN: From now on the Sailor Scouts of the past will be called by their given names i.e. Raye, Mina etc...and the ones in the future will be called Sailor blah. Got it?) Sailor Earth pulled away and smiled at the child. "I'm so happy you're okay. You didn't come back alone, did you?" she asked. Rini shook her head and pointed to the group of people who had come with her. Sailor Earth stood up and faced them with a smile. Her eyes focused on her younger self and her smile widened. "This is kinda weird," she said. Suddenly, a group of young women rushed through the door and stopped right in side it. "We got your message, Rose! Where are the intruders!" Sailor Venus demanded. Sailor Earth laughed lightly. "I'd hardly call this pink demon (AN: Just for you Lady Z!) a threat!" she exclaimed as she gestured towards Rini. The Sailor Scouts stared in shock, not at Rini, but at themselves. "Whoa," Jupiter whispered. "Trista always said we would meet our younger selves, but this is so strange!" Rini simply ran to the group and hugged them much the same as she had hugged her aunt not a minute before. "You're all here!" she exclaimed. "I was worried." Her smiled widened suddenly. "Where's Mommy and Daddy?" she asked excitedly. That simple question seemed to drain the life in the room. Earth became pale all the sudden and the other Sailor Scouts looked at their shoes. The girls of the past looked between Scouts with questioning glances. They had actually been wondering the same thing. "What is it?" Tuxedo Mask asked worriedly. Sailor Earth kneeled down so she was eye level with Rini. "Small Lady, do you remember what happened during the attack?" she asked. Rini nodded. "What happened?" she asked. Rini looked behind her to the past Sailor Scouts and Earth shook her head. "If you haven't told them, then they'll find out soon enough. Do you remember your father going to fight?" "Yes," Rini whispered as a tear trickled down her cheek. "Mommy said he was in pain a while later. Then..." she trailed off as she remembered. "Rini, your mother was hit with some pretty bad magic," Earth started, "and we haven't...found...Endymion," she whispered as a familiar pain came to her at the memory of her brother and sister in law. "No," Rini whispered as she tried to pull away. Sailor Moon walked forward and placed her hand on her daughters' shoulder, halting her movements. "Go on, Sailor Earth," she said in a voice that shocked even herself. "Thank you. Like I was saying, who ever hit Queen Serenity with the magic was very powerful. Serenity, your mother is in a coma, and Mercury doesn't know if she's going to come out of it and-" Rini pulled away quickly from both women. "You're lying! No! Mommy's fine!" she yelled at her aunt and turned and ran from the room. "Small Lady!" Venus called after her. "Rini!" Sailor Moon yelled as she started after her. Tuxedo Mask put his hand on her shoulder and shook his head. 'Not yet.' Sailor Moon nodded and clenched her fist. Sailor Earth looked down, away from the others. "I'm sorry. I wish you could have come here with better news, but..." she sighed, "thems the breaks of war." Sailor Mercury suddenly gasped. "Oh no! Small Lady went down the East Wing! Small Lady!" Mercury yelled as she ran as fast as she could out of the room. "What was that about?" Raye asked as she watched the retreating form of Mercury. Mars smiled grimly at her past self. "That's where the medical wing is. The Royal Quarters are in the West Wing." 'Royal Quarters, Small Lady, coma, missing...' the words ran over and over through Kent's head as he watched his daughter carefully. She had remained surprisingly calm during everything, but he could sense the worry deep beneath her calm face. Ilene reached for his hand and Kent squeezed it in reassurance. They had been told that the future was wonderful and a Utopia, but now... what they were being shown was the opposite. "How could this happen?" Ilene asked aloud, catching the Sailor Scouts off guard. The elder Sailor Scouts looked away. Sailor Venus was the one who answered. "We honestly don't know. Unlike the Dark Moon attack, there was no warning in this." She gave a little laugh. "I mean, for Gods sake, we let Serenity, Endymion and Small Lady out of the Palace with out an escort! We've been at peace for three years now. We were unprepared for war." "Especially against our old enemies," Jupiter added as she leaned against a wall. "By the way, we haven't seen Sapphire or Jedite around for a while? Did you get them, Sailor Moon?" she asked. Sailor Moon nodded. "Sapphire is healed and lives with the four sisters. And Jedite..." she trailed off. "I think he learned not to mess with my daughter a little too late." "Hmm..." Earth mused to herself. "Well, lets go see if Mercury has found Small Lady yet." ************************************************************************ Sailor Mercury stood outside of Serenity's room and sadly watched Rini through the window. She heard the approaching footsteps of the others and turned to them. Her eyes were wet with tears as she glanced back in at her Princess. "Why didn't you bring her out?" Earth demanded as she reached for the doorknob. "Wait," Mercury whispered. "Small Lady ordered that she be left alone." The Sailor Scouts stood in shock at Mercury's words. "The first order she's ever given us, and I think that *we*" she emphasized the we, "should follow her order." Smiling at Mercury for understanding, Sailor Moon and Tuxedo Mask opened the door and let themselves into the hospital room. Ilene had a hand to her mouth in shock as she looked at the woman lying in the bed. "That can't be..." Sammy's eyes opened wide. "She can't be Meatball Head." Raye laughed. "Funny, that's what I first though when I saw her!" Rose looked at the woman beyond the window and had to smile. Terren gave an annoyed yowl to be picked up and Rose did as such. Amy picked up Luna and Mina Artemis so that they could look at the Queen and see what Serena and Darien were going to do. ************************************************************************ Tuxedo Mask closed the door to the room and his breath caught. Now that he wasn't on the other side of the window, he could clearly see the damage that had been done to Neo-Queen Serenity. Her skin was pale and her lips chapped. There were wires and tubes hooked up to her to keep her from slipping deeper into the coma. He looked to his young daughter and his eyes darkened. A little girl didn't need to see this. Soft sobs were coming from Rini and Serena fought back her tears. Undoing her transformation, she approached the girl who was standing by her mother's bed. Darien did the same. "Go away, Amy! I ordered you out of here!" she yelled with out turning around. "Well, I'm not Amy, I don't have the grades," Serena said. "And I don't have the looks," Darien told her with a smile. Rini sniffled and didn't turn around. "Why'd it have to be her? Why couldn't I have waited a day for the picnic?" she whispered. Serena placed her hand on Rini's head and the girl looked up. Darien stood behind Serena with a small smile on his face. "Rini, don't play 'what if.' Believe me, it doesn't help. For over a year after I found out I was the Moon Princess I would lay awake at night and think 'what if I hadn't jumped for Endymion?' 'What if I had fought for myself?'" She shook her head. "My Mother died, doing what she always wanted to, protecting me. Protecting her Kingdom and all the people she loved. I sincerely doubt that one action would have changed the out come of the Silver Millennium, and it won't change what ever is going to happen in this war." Rini swallowed hard and shook her head. Darien shook his head and kneeled down next to Rini. "Rini, everyone goes through a point in their lives where they doubt who they are, or what they've done. Believe me, I've been there. But, right now, your mother, both of them, need you. You have to be strong, or she'll never pull through this." Rini looked up at her parents, as if searching for the truth in their eyes. She found it. The love shinning there was too hard to miss and she smiled. Sniffling, Rini through herself into her parents arms and cried again. She knew what they meant by being strong, it meant not to give in to your fears. It didn't mean that she wasn't aloud to cry when she was sad. ************************************************************************ A strange beeping sound from the laboratory brought the woman out of her trance. Looking to the cylinder, she smiled and licked her lips. "Good, he's ready," she said with an evil laugh. "King Onyxious, will be pleased," she said with a laugh and she drained the tank and helped him out. "Do you remember who you are?" she asked. A coughing fit was her only answer. The woman waited patiently for the young mans answer. "Y-yes," he rasped out while inhaling sharply. "Good." Her eyes narrowed suddenly as she remembered what King Onyxious had said only weeks ago about this man. "He was obsessed with Serenity. I do not need *that* in my Generals." She furrowed her brow. 'Then why would he want him?' ************************************************************************ The Sailor Scouts had long left the family scene in the hospital wing and were sitting down to try and catch up while Rini, Serena and Darien stayed together taking comfort in their presence. Not in the mood to cook, Jupiter had pulled some leftovers out of the fridge and heated them up really quick for dinner. "So has anything else been going on that we need to know about?" Luna asked as her tail slowly swung back and forth. Venus sighed and shook her head. "We've barely managed to keep them away from the Palace. We're lucky that the Silver Crystal is still here. With out its' shielding, I bet we would have been long gone." Looking up from her food, Raye furrowed her brow. "Is the enemy that strong?" she asked. Nodding Mercury pushed her food around on her plate. "We've never seen anything like them before. His rage and power has been building for two thousand years." She looked up at the others. "We've never even seen him. Can you imagine how powerful he is?" she asked. "The battles against Metalia are nothing, compared to this!" Jupiter burst. Lita slammed her fist down on the table. "And that bastard took away King Alex and now he's going for Serenity and Endymion! We can't let this happen!" she yelled. "I don't want to bring up a tender subject, Sailor Earth," Rose all but whispered, "but is Endymion even alive?" she asked. Everyone in the room paused a moments and Earth slowly nodded. "I guess since you've just remembered in the past couple of months, you wouldn't know this or would have forgotten. If either Serenity or Endymion die, then the other would too, almost immediately afterwards," she explained. "So if Serena, er, Serenity," Ilene corrected herself, "is still alive, then that means that so is Endymion?" "Basically," Mercury answered. Amy put her fork down and rest her chin in her hands. "I wonder-" was all she got out. The Palace suddenly shook with tremendous force and the sounds of sirens reached their ears. "No!" Mars yelled as she hit the intercom. "This is Sailor Mars! Has the shield fallen?!" she demanded. Static boomed on the one side but quickly faded to a voice. "Only in one Section, Ma'am! The East Wing, Section five!" he told her. "Oh shi-" Sailor Earth yelled as she got up and ran. "That's the hospice section!" she yelled. The Sailor Scouts of the past and future stood up and bolted for the door while Mars made an announcement, "ALL AVAILABLE SOLDIERS TO THE MEDICAL CENTER! I REPEAT! ALL AVAILABLE SOLDIERS TO THE MEDICAL CENTER!" she yelled. Turning to the Tsukino's she gave them instructions to stay there and not move. 'Please, don't let us be too late,' Mars prayed. ************************************************************************ "SILVER MOON STAR ATTACK!" The ribbons of light and stars shot out of Sailor Moon's Star Wand as she tried to fight off the hundreds of youmas that were invading the building. The attack had only happened moments ago, and they were already loosing. Rini was on the ground, unconscious, and Tuxedo Mask was nursing cracked ribs. Sailor Moon bit her lips and tried again. "SILVER MOON STAR ATTACK!" Again, only a few of the youmas and droids were destroyed. Tuxedo Mask lunged at the youmas behind Sailor Moon with his Terra Sword and slashed them neatly in half. Sailor Moon smiled her thanks and returned to fighting. "MOON TIARA MAGIC!" "MARS FIRE BIRD STRIKE!" "MERCURY BUBBLES BLAST!" "JUPITER THUNDER STORM!" "VENUS LOVE CHAIN ENCIRCLE!" "EARTH CYCLONE WINDS!" "MERCURY ICE STORM BLAST!" "JUPITER THUNDER CRASH!" "EARTH GROUND QUAKE!" "MARS FLAME WAVE!" "VENUS CRESCENT BEAM SMASH!" Sailor Moon and Tuxedo Mask turned to their friends and smiled in relief. This was now going to be much easier. And they were right. Within a matter of minutes, every last youma was destroyed. Sailor Moon let out the breath she had been holding. "Whoa. That was tough," she said with a sigh. Tuxedo Mask smiled at her for a moment before letting out a cry of surprise as he was lifted into the air by a magical force. The Sailor Scouts turned to him and both Mercury's opened their palmtops and visors to see what was going on. "Even when the battle may seem over, Serenity," the familiar voice of Malachite hissed, "you should really watch out for a second attack." In a flash of light, Tuxedo Mask was gone. Sailor Moon stood in complete shock, staring at the place he had once been in. "No...NO! DARIEN!" she screamed as she ran to the hole in the wall that the youma had come through. "Wait!" "Stop!" "Serena!" All of the Sailor Scouts rushed forward to stop the Moon Princess. Rose and Mars grabbed her and held her down while the others blocked the exit so she couldn't get away. "No! Let me go! Darien!" she cried out with tears in her eyes as she fought her friends. Amy looked up from where she was examining Rini and smiled as the little girl woke up. "It's okay, Rini. Everything's going to be just fine." Rini turned and looked at Sailor Moon who was desperately trying to get out of Mars and Roses' grasp. She understood immediately and began to cry again, just when she thought her tears had stopped. Sailor Mercury came up from behind Sailor Moon with Jupiter, who held Serena's arm, as Mercury pushed the needle into her skin. Sailor Moon's struggles began to cease as her eyelids began to droop. "Darien..." she whispered as she fell into a fitful sleep. To be continued... HA! To everyone that e-mailed me last time and yelled about the cliffhanger, didn't I tell you that this one would be worse?! Didn't I?! *dances around* Hee-hee! I warned ya! And only I know what happens! I know what happens. Kinda...er...that part's not written yet. Okay, this will be out next week due to much yelling on Ti'ana's part, so thank her! Oh, and I know last week this part looked like it was up, but it wasn't. I edited my HTML file wrong and it wasn't supposed to be up. Gomen! Okay, that's it for this weeks installment of Final Awakenings! Hope ya liked, and as always e-mail, e-mail, e-mail, e-mail! Please! ***Okay, I know I said something about not putting the Outers in this series, but have finally seen Sailor Moon S and felt I could, since I know their personalities now. And just for the record, since S and after haven't happened at all, I am sticking with how old they should be at this time. Hotaru was never reverted to a baby and is 18 as she should be along with Amara and Michelle, okay? She has always looked very young even though she's not. Stef-chan
