Darien sighed and rubbed his temples as his head began to throb
again.  For the first time in longer than he could remember, he had
a cold.  And he suddenly wished that there were a way to cure
colds.  Coughing again, he lay down in his bed and picked up a
photo by his bed.  Brushing his fingers against Serena's cheek
in the picture, he smiled.

His telephone rang and Darien got up to answer it.  "Hello?" he
croaked out, his voice cracking under the strain of using it.

"You've got it too, Darien?" Serena's voice asked over the line.
She sounded horrible.  Her nose was obviously stuffed up and her
throat sounded dry and scratchy.  What she had just said really
sounded like, 'Do'b dot it do, Darwein?'

Darien smiled slightly into the phone.  "Yes, I do.  You don't
sound so good yourself, Sere.  Go back to bed," he instructed.

"I will," Serena assured him, "but I need to tell you something
first.  If Mina shows up at your house: RUN."

Darien blinked and looked perplexed.  "Oh-key...why is that?"

"She hasn't been here yet, thank GOD, but Amy and the others have
had visits...they're very thankful to be alive."

*******************************************************************

Sapphire had to roll his eyes at Emerald's plan.  She was a fool
with foolish ambitions, and that would only get her killed, like
Rubeus.  A doctor's office had recently opened on Tenth Street and
Emerald had discovered it to be a Negative Point and set up base.
By spreading the dark energy through flu shots and regular
medications, she had caused almost everyone in the city to become
sick.

Emerald finished detailing her plan to his brother and disappeared.
"She's a fool for thinking something so obvious won't be discovered,
Brother."

Diamond sat in thought for a moment before sipping his brandy glass.
"If she is meant to fail, then that is the way of things.  She can
take care of herself," he told his younger brother.

Sapphire's lips thinned and he turned away from is brother in mild
disgust.  'We're going to lose another one and he doesn't care.'

*******************************************************************

Mina looked around the city and sighed.  "So many sick people, so
little time."  She reached into her pocket and pulled out a list
with several names on it.  "Let's see...I've been to see Amy, Lita
and Raye...I wonder why she threw me out?" she asked herself as
she stopped for a moment.

Behind her, Artemis sighed and looked up to the sky.  "To whatever
God is out there, please don't hold what she does today against
her!  It's not her fault she's blonde!"  Looking back at Mina, he
saw her walking again.  "Mina!  Who's place are we going to next?"

Mina turned around and walked while talking to the cat.  "Why, to
Darien's of course!  I've got to make sure he's not sick, and then
after I go to his place, we'll go to Serena's!"

Artemis looked up to his charge with wide, shocked blue eyes.
"You're...you're joking, right?!  After the fire at Lita's, the
broken dishes at Amy's, and the stereo exploding at Raye's?!  And
you're going to visit our Prince and Princess?!"

"Well of course!  I can't *not* make sure they're okay!"

*******************************************************************

Darien hung up the phone and lay back down in his bed.  Serena's
detailed explanation of what Mina had done to the other girls sent
a shiver up his spine.  He prayed she didn't know he was sick.  He
prayed to his planet and his Queen that she didn't know.

Too bad no one heard him.

"DARIEN!" Mina's all too cheerful voice rang from outside the door.
"It's Mina!  I heard that you were sick.  Open the door!" she called.

The muffled voice of Artemis could also be heard.  Darien couldn't
understand what he was saying, but the words, "don't" "you'll die"
"hell" "explosion" and a few others he didn't even want to know
what he had said, could be heard.  Knowing she would force her entry
into the apartment any moment, he grabbed all of his pill bottles,
drinks and anything else she could use as a potential deadly weapon,
and through them under his bed.

The sound of the door opening, and a snap of wood, was heard just as
Darien jumped back into bed, albeit thinking about the damage she
had just done to his entryway, and picked up a magazine.

Mina peaked into his room, looking a little red in the face, and she
smiled.  Darien looked up and attempted to smile back.  "Mina, I
didn't hear you come in.  Is there something you need?" he asked
while thinking, 'Go away, go away, GO AWAY.'

Mina set down her wicker basket, which apparently held Artemis
because he climbed out of it and glared at the blonde girl, and
walked up to her friend.  "Well, everyone else is sick, so I decided
I'd better take care of them!  I made a little mess at the others
houses," she blanched at the thought, "but I know I can do okay,
now!" she finished.

Darien paled and Artemis jumped onto his bed.  "Mina, please.  You've
helped so much, they really don't need any more help!  Let's go home
so we can make sure WE don't catch this epidemic," he pleaded.

Darien nodded quickly.  "Yes, it's really okay, Mina!  I'm getting
much better!" he tried to convince her vainly.

Glaring, Mina pulled a thermometer out of nowhere and stuck it in
Darien's mouth.  "Now shut up, or I'll shut you up!"

Darien did as he was told and kept the thermometer in his mouth.
Mina smiled and pulled it out when it was ready and frowned at
it.  "Still high, Darien!  You need to stay in bed for a few more
days!" she announced.  "I'll be back with some tea for you!" she
announced.

Darien was about to get out of bed when Mina appeared from out of
nowhere and glared at him, causing him to go back into the safe,
for now, bed.  Reaching over, he picked up the phone by his bed
and hit the speed-dial #1.  "Hello?" a happy voice chirped.

Darien blinked and frowned for a moment.  "Rini?" he asked.  "Why
are you answering Serena's line?"

Rini sighed on the other end.  "She's still sick, and is asleep.
Everyone is over here.  Aunt Ilene, Uncle Kent, Sammy, Serena...only
Alec and I aren't sick yet."

Nodding understanding, Darien continued.  "Well when she wakes up,
tell her to call me and make sure I'm still alive, okay?"

"Mina's over there too?" she asked.  Laughing she just agreed and
hung up.

"Darien!  The tea's ready!" Mina called as she carried the steaming
hot (AN: Oh please, we all know where THIS is going!) cup into his
bedroom.  She set it down in front of him and Darien looked down at
the brown substance with a look of either disgust or disbelief on
his face.

"Mina...I thought I only had GREEN TEA in the apartment?" he
questioned her as he looked at the thick liquid.

Blanching, Mina looked at the cup and smiled.  "It has a greenish
tint to it still!  It's fine!" she attempted to assure him.

Darien nodded and brought the cup to his lips, inhaling the smell
before he decided to venture on.  Deciding the tea smelt okay, he
took a sip of it...and dropped the cup in his lap, causing him to
cry out because it was hot on his legs.  Mina could only watch as
Darien ran off to his room, which was followed by the sound of
several locks locking.  "Guess I did it again..." she muttered.

Serena listened to Darien's reenactment of what had happened while
Mina was at his house and sighed.  She was next, she knew it.
Mina had been everywhere, to everyone, but she hadn't seen her yet.
And as the looming, forbearing sound of the door being knocked
upon met her ears, Serena suddenly wished she was dead.  Because
the deaths that she had been reborn from before, were nothing
compared to what was going to take place in a few minutes.  "She's
here, Darien," Serena sighed.

Over the line, Serena could here Darien smile.  "I'm sorry.  If
I wasn't sick myself, I'd be over there taking care of you, Serena.
I love you," he whispered.

"I love you too," she answered as they both hung up.

There was the sound of several feet running up the stairs and
laughing.  Serena's door swung open several moments later and it
revealed Mina, Rini and Alec all smiling and talking.  "Serena!"
Mina exclaimed as she rushed to her friend, who still obviously
had a fever.  "I'm so sorry you got sick.  Please allow me to take
care of you and do anything you wish!" she asked as she bowed to
her.

Serena paled and shook her head several times.  "Mina, Mina, Mina!
I'm getting better, I'll be fine in a few days, you REALLY,
**REALLY** don't need to help me, or my family, out!"

Mina glared at her and walked forward, putting her hand on her
friends' forehead.  "Serena..." Mina hissed warningly.  "You still
have a fever!"

"Uhh...uhh..." Serena stuttered.  "No, it's just warm in here!"
she tried to convince her.

The glare got worse and Mina put her face close to Serena's.
"Liar."

Serena gulped as Mina began giving Alec and Rini instructions on
what to do.  "This family is down for the count, and we've got to
make sure they get back up again!  Rini, Alec," she addressed each
child and turned to them, "we've got to clean up this house, and
make them better!  Are you with me?" she asked.

"Yeah!" Rini and Alec exclaimed as they saluted their "Head
Nurse."

Just as they were about to go out and do their "good deeds," Ilene
walking into the room, fully dressed and ready to go.  "Serena,
your father, Sammy and I have doctor's appointments, so we'll be
leaving now."  She turned and smiled slightly at Mina and the
children.  "Take care of Serena for me, you three!" she instructed
as she coughed and left the room.

From the side, Luna bowed her head and began to pray.

Mina rolled up the sleeves of her sweatshirt and smiled.  "Alright!
Let's get to work, kids!" she exclaimed as she grabbed Rini and
Alec's hand.  "I'll make something for Serena and you two can help
with the chores!"

No one heard Serena's protests as they walked down the stairs,
blissfully unaware of the destruction they were to cause.
(AN: But WE know!)

*******************************************************************

Looking around the downstairs of the Tsukino's house, Mina saw that
the three of them had their work cut out for them.  There were dirty
dishes in the sink, laundry piled high, dusty shelves and tables;
a house cleaner's nightmare.  Mina smirked and laughed out loud.
"They think they can beat us!  Well, here's some news for you,
dishes, YOU CAN'T!" she laughed out.

Alec and Rini exchanged glances and slowly backed out of the room,
but Mina grabbed them by their shirts, dragging them back to the
other room.  Handing Rini a towel to clean to dust with, and Alec
quick directions on how to do laundry, they set to work on the
house.

As Rini ever so carefully tried to dust around the pictures, glass
and other assorted expensive items, she heard swears and curses
coming from the kitchen where Mina was washing the dishes, which
was quickly followed by the sound of them breaking.  It startled
Rini so much, she jerked her hand and knocked over the vase
sitting next to her.  "Opps."

*******************************************************************

Mina carefully picked up the broken dishes that were on the floor
and frowned.  "I hope Mrs. Tsukino doesn't know how many of these
she actually has..." she wondered aloud.

Throwing the last pieces of glass into the trash, Mina leaned
against the counter and looked out the window.  Something about
this whole situation felt wrong to her.  But she couldn't put
her finger on it.

A strange smell filled Mina's nose and she looked around for the
source of it.  She didn't have to look far, seeing as though it was
coming from the pot of noodles on the stove that was overflowing
onto the other burners and catching on fire.

Mina screamed and grabbed a nearby towel from the side and began
beating out the flames, only to have the towel catch on fire as well.
Screaming again, she dropped the towel and began to blow on the
flames as one would a candle.

"LUNA P...EXTINGUISHER!"

A small explosion of foam covered the room, and Mina with it.  When
it cleared, the fire was out, but the kitchen and Mina were covered
with the sticky foam from Luna P.

Turning to Rini, who smiled and held the small toy close to her, she
sighed and wiped it away from her eyes.

*******************************************************************

Two hours later, Alec trudged up to Serena's room.  While he had
been eager to help out, somehow what Mina and Rini were doing
couldn't be considered any help.  He knew his sister was a little
clumsy, but not like this!  In the past two hours, he had learned
three new words from Mina and five times that many glass objects
had broken.

He sighed as he opened Serena's door, and stopped before he entered
the room.  Serena was spread out on the bed snoring slightly, but
what surprised him more was that Darien was sitting next to her
gently touching her face and smiling at her.  But he still looked
sick, but not as bad as Serena.

Alec smiled and gently closed the door as he left the room.  When
he turned around he was surprised to see Mina and Rini right behind
him holding trays of, what looked to be, food.  Though Alec wasn't
exactly sure what it was...he would have to try it before he let
them attempt to feed it to Serena.

Mina looked at him curiously, and raised an eyebrow as she pushed
open the door, despite his protests otherwise, and smiled when she
saw the sight before her.  "Darien...you really shouldn't be here,"
she whispered as she came into the room.

Darien's head snapped up and he instinctively pulled a rose from
out of nowhere and aimed before he let it fizzle into nothing,
realizing it was just Mina.  "Luna and Artemis went to your place,
Luna said Serena was snoring too loudly," he muttered as he looked
back down.

Mina rolled her eyes.  "In other words, you sneaked over after I
left, watched her and waited until Luna to leave so you could see
her more than once this week?" she asked.

"Basically."

There was a sigh from behind Mina, followed by a crashing sound,
looking quickly, they saw that Rini had collapsed and Alec had caught
her, just barely, making it so she missed the glass that she had just
dropped.

"RINI!" Mina exclaimed, setting her own tray down, she rushed to the
child and checked her temperature.  Just like everyone else, it was
very high.  "Oh no, she's sick too!"

Serena groaned and slowly opened her eyes.  "Rini?" she whispered
while sitting up.

Darien stood.  "I'll take her to the doctors and get some medicine
for her."

Mina shook her head and picked Rini up.  "No, I'll take her.  You're
still sick and the Tsukino's are at the doctor; right down the
street."  Mina ran out the door before anyone else could protest.

Alec ran after her, but Darien grabbed his shoulder and stopped
him.  "It's okay, she'll be fine, Alec."  Alec looked up and Darien
grimaced at what that look meant.  "Okay...maybe if they aren't back
in an hour, we'll call the police."

*******************************************************************

Mina ran down the street, breathing hard.  Rini had passed out from
the fever a few minutes earlier and she was even more worried.
'Hold on, Rini, hold on.  I'll get you there...' She looked up and
smiled.  'There it is!' she thought as she ran into the waiting
room and looked around.  There was no one there.

Frowning, she walked in further and called out, "Hello!  Hello!" she
yelled.

There was no answer and a growing dread began to fill her stomach.
In her arms, Rini moaned and Mina held her tighter.  "I need to
see a doctor!" she called out.  Getting impatient, she left the
waiting area and went into the back, where she still saw no one.
But then she heard a laugh coming from one of the rooms, and she
ran to it.

Throwing the door open, she gasped at the sight.  That woman who
had destroyed Rubeus, Emerald, was standing in front of a tall
glass object-which looked suspiciously like her-and laughing.
Mina let out a terrified gasp and began to run away when a woman
appeared in front of her.

"More for our collection!" the woman hissed as her disguise, as a
doctor, melted away into the typical droid attire, only with a
stethoscope and some very nasty look needles and pointy objects
that Mina would rather not think about.

Emerald walked forward and smiled.  "Very good," she hissed.

Rini looked up and her terror began to rise inside of her.  She was
afraid.  Afraid for herself, afraid for her friend, and afraid for
all the people who has come into this trap.  Her lip trembled and
before she could stop herself, she let out a terrified scream.
Yellow-gold energy was everywhere, and within seconds the room
was flooded with light.

Everything seemed to stop and Mina strained her eyes to look at the
girl and how she was able to create such power.  But she looked too
late.  For if she had looked a second earlier, she would have been
able to see the golden crescent moon ablaze atop her forehead.

Alec screamed.

There was no warning to it, and the startle caused Serena and
Darien to drop what they were doing and run to him.  Alec's hand was
on his head and he was breathing hard.  He had always been close
to his sister, but this time, he felt everything.  She was terrified,
lonely and just plain afraid.  The emotions she was putting forward
was everything he wanted to say he could feel, it was everything he
felt.  And in seconds, he didn't have a choice.

As his scream echoed through the neighborhood, and bright blue-black
energy filled the room, Darien felt his blood run cold.  He knew
this power, felt this power inside of him when he fought.
Un-shielding his eyes, he forced himself to watch the small boy, to
see where this power was coming from.  He froze.  A blue cross
inside of a green circle** sat on his forehead.

The Earth Symbol.

Rini's screaming died down and she sniffled slightly.  In the time
that she had been screaming, Mina had run out of the room, leaving
the young girl panicked and betrayed.  'They really don't care,'
was all she could think as the Droid began walking towards her.

"Get her!  Get that brat!" Emerald commanded and laughed.  "The
Prince will be so happy when I complete this mission!"

"He would be if you finished it, but you won't!" a new voice
announced.  The trio looked up and Rini had to smile.

"Sailor Venus!" Rini called with a smile.

Emerald, however, "YOU AGAIN?!" she screamed out.  "UGH, and I
thought you would be good children and stay out of this."

Venus jumped down in front of Rini and glared at the woman.  "For
disturbing a doctors place when so many patients are sick, Sailor
Venus will give you divine punishment!"

"Droid," Emerald commanded with a fierce bite in her tone, "GET
HER!"

The Droid nodded and pulled out a very sharp, very painful look
object and aimed it towards Sailor Venus who stood her ground.

"VENUS LOVE CHAIN ENCIRCLE!"

The chain of hearts wrapped around the needle-like object and pulled
it away from the Droid's arms.  The Droid gave a small shriek and
then charged at Sailor Venus.  Unprepared for the attack, Venus
could only gasp before she was forced up against the wall by the
Droid.  She struggled in its grip, but only earned a tighter grasp
and pain in her arms.

Emerald appeared before her and laughed.  "Kill her, and then
bring me the child," she commanded as she disappeared from sight.

"Damn it," Venus hissed, and then screamed as the pressure became
harder on her arms.

"MOON TIARA MAGIC!"

It was the Droid's turn to scream as a disk of energy penetrated
it's back, but didn't kill it.  It released it's hold on Venus, who
quickly ran back away from it, and turn to look in the face of
Sailor Moon.  As it turned to run away, it found four more warriors
behind it and to the sides.

Venus looked at her friends in amazement as they began to fight the
Driod, and win.  'They...they're better?' she thought as Mars used
her chants to freeze the Droid in its place.

Sailor Moon swallowed, her throat dry and scratchy as she pulled
out her Scepter to finish off the Driod.  Her vision became dark
and she felt herself becoming light as she collapsed to the ground.

"SERENA!" Tuxedo Mask cried out as he rushed to her and cradled her
in his arms.  Her face was flushed from the strain of just using
her Tiara and she tried to pull away from him so she could finish
the battle but he pushed her back down.

Lying Sailor Moon on the ground, Tuxedo Mask stood up and faced the
still frozen Droid.  Raising his hands, he did what he had to do,
what he knew would clear up his feeling about who Alec and Rini
were, and the mysterious energy that felt too close to his to not
be some form of it.  The energy of Terra, Earth, his home.

"TUXEDO LA SMOKING BOMBER!"

A small pile of dust and a faded gem appeared when the light died
down and Darien looked at his hands.  He hadn't used that attack in
a while*** but it was still his attack, and his energy.  He looked
out of the corner of his eye to where Rini was standing with wide
eyes before she ran to Sailor Moon.

It just wasn't possible.

*******************************************************************

Emerald kneeled in front of her Prince, something close to a look
of shame on her face as she did so and listened to what her Prince
thought of her horrible failure earlier.

Looking up, Emerald attempted to speak and repent her sins against
her Prince.  "I didn't know that the Soldiers were so strong!  They
are indeed forces to be reckoned with, but I shall destroy them
quite easily!"

Diamond gazed at her with angry eyes, half tempted to strike out at
her with his power.  "You say so with such ease that it makes me
question why you haven't been able to, Emerald.  While this was
only your first battle against them, Sailor Moon is formidable, and
you must not underestimate her, or any of her allies.  Though she
was quite sick today..."

Wiseman and Sapphire appeared on either side of Diamond, both ready
to present what had happened in their own views.

"Emerald has the right idea," Wiseman told the Prince.  "Sailor Moon
was very weak today, if we can make her weaker, we can destroy her
and win this war far quicker than before."

Sapphire didn't say what he was going to, but instead look the old
man in the 'face.'  "You know something we don't."

Wiseman didn't answer either aye on nay, but simply gazed into his
Crystal Ball and concentrated harder on what he found in there.

*******************************************************************

Looking out at the city lights and listening to the sounds below
him, Darien stood on the balcony in his apartment, thinking about
the events of the day.  Everyone had mysteriously gotten better as
soon as the Droid, Emerald and the tall figurine that looked like
Emerald, had disappeared.

But he wasn't concerned about that.  Even Serena was back to her
bouncy, cheerful and loving self.  He knew that the flu had been
a Dark Moon trick the second he destroyed the Droid.

But what he didn't know, was how he could possibly have a son and
a daughter.

Um...*evil laughs again*  Gomen, I just HAD to do it, I really had
to.  So, I hope y'all liked it and again, I'm sorry about the delay!
