History of the Sailor Moon Dub

The first 82 episodes of the Sailor Moon dub began showing in 1995. It was produced by Dic who won the rights to Sailor Moon over Saban. In 2000, the next two seasons of Sailor Moon were dubbed by Cloverway Inc., the American branch of Toei Amination. In 1999/2000 the three Sailormoon movies were released subbed/dubbed by Pioneer Animation. Pioneer also announced that it will release the S and SuperS seasons subbed and dubbed on VHS and DVD. In October of 2000 ADV announced that it had gotten the rights to the first two seasons of Sailor Moon from Dic and are releasing VHS's with four episode per tape. Sailor Moon was being shown on the Cartoon Newtork but was taken off the lineup in spring 2001. Currently Pioeer is releasing the S season on DVD/VHS and ADV is still coming out with it's videos.
